Does Beijing have a sea?

Back then, when I was still in elementary school, the TV station would show some Hong Kong films after eleven o'clock every night, which was very enjoyable. I watched the film at that time. Moreover, the three of us often watch movies together and laugh happily together.

At that time, my understanding was as follows:
1. Zhongnanhai: It should be a place in Guangdong. Because there is a "sea"!
2. Bodyguard: protect the rich! There are a lot of rich people in Guangdong!
Fortunately, I guessed half right, because Xu Zhengyang did protect the rich. But my understanding of Zhongnanhai is probably surprising.

After watching the film, I knew where Zhongnanhai was. Later, in 1999, I watched the bodyguard of CCTV, and then I realized the relationship between the two.

It was an era of innocence, watching movies was the happiest thing, and there were no worries about work, marriage, sex, etc. You can often watch movies without any scruples until the early morning, so cool!

Until now, I still have a habit of turning on the TV if I can’t fall asleep, and changing the channel aimlessly. If any satellite TV is showing a movie (often there are some old Hong Kong movies), I will watch it for a while. Asleep, kill two birds with one stone.

When I was in college, I played this film 9 times out of 10 on the back and forth long-distance bus.

The plot is very fake and old-fashioned, and the feelings are very real and delicate. The use of props (balloons and skateboards in the shootout in the mall, watches and blinds in the confession, flashlights, TV sets, and gas in the final confrontation) is a must. The 1994 film is very thoughtful and exquisite. Although it is a commercial film, the plot is bright and smooth, but there are many intriguing points, and the burden is just right. Unlike today's films, lest people not understand, or lest people understand.

The Defender quotes

  • Billy Yeung: [John didn't get anything for Michelle's birthday] You should have gotten her flowers, she loves flowers.

Allan Hui Ching-yeung: Yes. But what happens to a flower when you pick it? It loses it's life.

Billy Yeung: [a man comes in with a huge bouquet of flowers for Michelle from her boyfriend] Now all you have is a bunch of dead bodies.

  • Michelle Yeung: I see. Thanks so much.

Chiu Kwok-Man: [puts a cigar in his mouth] Bye now.

Charlie Leung Kam-Po: [grunts after getting burnt in the forehead by the cigar] I could arrest you right here on the street!

Kwok-Man's Lawyer: Hey, on what charge?

Charlie Leung Kam-Po: I haven't made up my mind.

    Kwok-Man's Lawyer: Then...

Charlie Leung Kam-Po: [bitterly] Bye, goodbye!
