[Plot introduction] The world-famous God of Gamblers, Gao Jin (Chow Yun-fat), was entrusted by Japan's Yamaguchi-gumi Ueyama Hiroji (Karakura Taixiang) to duel with Singaporean gambling king Chen Jincheng (Bao Hanlin). Shan Slope was fortunately rescued by Chen Daozi (Andy Lau) and his girlfriend Ah Zhen (Wang Zuxian), but he temporarily lost his memory and even forgot his name due to the blow to the head, so everyone had to call him "Chocolate". In fact, Dao Zai regards the God of Gamblers as his idol, and because the God of Gamblers never takes pictures, he cannot recognize this person as Gao Jin, the God of Gamblers.
Gao Jin's cousin, Gao Yi, has a ghost and always wanted to find an opportunity to get rid of his cousin, take his property and his girlfriend Janet (Zhang Min), and finally raped and killed Janet during Gao Jin's disappearance. Chen Jincheng colluded to kill Gao Jin, but was rescued by Long Wu (Xiang Huaqiang), a bodyguard sent by Shangshan Hongci. Gao Jin regained his memory because of this fierce fight, and learned of Gao Yi's conspiracy but pretended not to know.
The day of the duel between the gods and kings of the gambling world finally came. Gao Jin defeated Chen Jincheng with superior skills. After exposing Gao Yi's crime on the spot, he used Chen Jincheng's hand to get rid of the traitor. Daozi never dreamed that chocolate is the idol god of gamblers! In the end, Dao Zai got his wish and followed Gao Jin through the rivers and lakes.
[Classic lines] Janet: We came to Tokyo on January 3rd. Today, Gao Jin's opponent is Yamaguchi-gumi Kameyama Hiroji, who is the second most famous gambling master in Japan! Gao Jin said that if he wins this time, he will take me back to Hong Kong for a vacation to see old friends. I hope he will not reschedule this time.
