This film I've been looking forward to it from the very beginning to the release. It's rare that Hong Kong's most talented young director (at least I think so) also plays bloody tertiary films. Are you expecting or not?
It's even more pleasant to see the cast, wow~ There are a lot of old actors. Here are two people who haven't been seen for a long time.
Shan Liwen: When you hear this name, everyone will definitely think of Ximen Qing. Yes, this is the Ximen Qing professional household (it should be the person who plays Ximen Qing the most, with a handsome face with a full cult flavor. The look and temperament are all the same. It is simply a modern Ximen Qing.) It is a pity that the film has already Degenerate into a fat middle-aged man, the evil spirit is gone, but there is a bit more literary temperament. Could it have something to do with Shan Liwen's liking to play music?
Xu Shaoqiang: A well-known prodigal hero in the film industry, although he is over sixty years old and has little hair left, the heroic temperament still exists. It seems that not many people know about his relationship with sister Michelle.
But it is a pity that so many actors are soy sauce, either being killed in seconds or passing by in a hurry (sweat~~ Eason Chan actually played a wretched male in this film) There is only one protagonist. Of course it was Miss He, the daughter of the gambling king.
The plot of the film is indeed very simple, how an innocent little girl becomes a murderous devil without blinking an eye.
Although the film is said to be bloody, in today's rampant Hollywood bloody films, there are indeed not many unacceptable bloody scenes. However, the film has a lot to enjoy. Hong Kong in the heroine's childhood is a bit like the harmonious mainland of today: forced evictions are commonplace and no one cares. So the innocent little girl prayed to the Virgin Mary and asked Jesus with a dream, hoping to live with her family in a house with a view of the sea. But as she got older, she finally realized it. It is okay for the Virgin and Jesus to ask, but whether to answer or not to realize that is another question. So she had to take up weapons (in fact, only simple hammers, plastic ropes and knives) to kill eleven people and twelve lives and finally achieve her dream.
Peng Haoxiang deliberately flashed back the heroine's memories in many murder scenes, comparing the bloody scenes with the heroine's happy or sad or cruel memories. To explain how the heroine became a murderous female demon step by step. This clip not only explains the cause and effect of the plot. It also threw the question directly to the audience, so that people could better understand the heroine's choices and practices. This is indeed a smart approach. Of course, people will not take the initiative to go crazy when they have a choice, and they are only driven crazy when they have no choice. Many people interpret the theme of the film as high housing prices killing people. I thought otherwise. If people in today's society are not speculative, money-loving, greedy, impetuous and hypocritical, how can there be such a goddamn high housing price? In fact, I think the theme of Peng Haoxiang's film is to point directly to the current social atmosphere, and the high housing prices are actually just a cover. Then you must want to ask if the current society is evil? I really don't know this, I only know that the current society is very harmonious, and we all live well... As I write here, I suddenly think of two sentences in Dickens' "A Tale of Two Cities": This is the best era, this is the the worst of times. ... we go all the way to heaven, we go all the way to hell. ・・・
Returning to the sentence in the title: Don't blame my sister for being too cruel. My sister kills only for the house where she can see the sea in her dream.
