The title of the film conveys the nostalgia for life. It is old and still reluctant to give up. At the same time, the film also reveals the director's understanding of life, or, in other words, while still nostalgic, he is ready.
A few years ago, I wrote a short essay on "Why You Should Always Be Prepared to Die", which actually expressed such a meaning. A person's short and long life can be said to be ready enough to face any situation, however, too many people are facing the end of their lives because of desire and regret because they are not ready.
Life can be understood as the process of death, because death is an inevitable outcome, after birth. In this long process of death, few people are willing or dare to face death head-on.
For the living, death is an invisible reality, and death is something that does not need to be faced day by day. No need to prepare day by day. However, no one can deny a simple fact: those who are ready, walk calmly.
I am already in the age of confusion, and I am not ready. But, in a way, I was ready, because I knew that one life was not enough to realize those dreams. But if you choose the path of your life early, it doesn't matter where you go, because you will walk on your own path all your life.
Now, to add one to the three questions I routinely ask myself. "Are you ready?" The answer is: no. But I'm ready.
