When I started watching it, I was tortured to death. I can't help but be fascinated by Lee Jun Ki's prosperous beauty.
Later, when I thought about the plot, it was roughly the longevity protection and love for Kong Ji. After the abridged version, I couldn't tell if it was a friendship between friends and brothers, or love. I think Gong Ji loves the king so he didn't leave, even if he found out that he was a moody demon, he couldn't bear to shoot an arrow to death.
If I were Kong Ji, I would choose Changsheng, a brave, decisive, and fearless person to be with; while Wang is like a child, moody and willful, and psychological wounds turn him into a monster. I don't want to accompany the monster to become a human, maybe I will never become a human in my life.
But Changsheng couldn't understand that delicate sadness, and Kong Ji could understand Wang's. Changsheng has always been protecting Kong Ji, no matter what the cost, whether he was beaten, killed, or made blind, he would never turn back. In addition to guilt and company (after meeting the king, there was less company), and Kong Ji seemed to have nothing in return, but just followed behind and hid behind Changsheng.
Emotions are uncontrollable, although my reason tells me that if I were Kong Ji, I should leave the palace with Changsheng early, but emotionally I may not be able to control myself to fall in love with the king, a person I can comfort and care for, even if he is Monsters, tyrants. After all, when hormones are on top, love is unconditional.
