This is the friendship of girls

Let me talk about the premise under which I watched this movie - first I watched the annual drama "Little Times 3" on the Internet, and then I was dragged by a friend to the cinema to watch "Girlfriends" directed by Huang Zhenzhen. After seeing the so-called "girlfriend love" that in the eyes of "well-known" directors for money and men, it seems that one second everyone is not friends but a feud, the next second can be shamelessly reconciled as before, I saw such a movie again , in an instant, my evaluation of this movie was upgraded from "excellent work" to "supernatural work".

From the very beginning, this movie complained about the two major routines in Korean dramas, "A lover will eventually become a brother and sister" and "Eating too much kimchi can lead to an incurable disease", which suddenly improved the favorability of passers-by. In fact, the subject matter of this movie is not necessarily so novel. One of the protagonists has a terminal illness and wants to meet a good sister before dying. Small groups and bullying in the school, the impulse and labor pains of adolescence, a good sister becomes a rival in love, and a fruitless first love. , the final big reunion... It can be said that the routine of the whole movie is not unfamiliar. But the director is like a chef. The same raw materials and different skills can cook dishes of completely different levels. And where is the director's brilliance?

The first is the god switch of the lens. I believe that audiences who have seen this film, even if they are not the kind of people who usually pay special attention to shooting techniques, will be deeply impressed by the use of lenses in this film.
Nami was walking on her alma mater, and then the camera turned. As the music went from dull to climax, the people around her became what she remembered. Finally, the camera turned back to the protagonist, and Nami also returned to the appearance of adolescence. And from this moment on, the main feature of the movie begins. After that, the switch of entering the door, the switch of different scenes of the same music, the switch of hiding behind the wall... It can be said that every switch is handled very cleverly, making people not feel abrupt in the frequent changes of the past and the present, but instead find it interesting.
As for the reunion and farewell of Nami and her first love, the sad self in the past appeared in the same picture as the self who had left the past and let go. I believe that scene also made many people sigh. I wonder if the audience also wants to go back to a certain moment in the past, to hug the heartbroken self at that time, and tell him that one day all this will be relieved?

The second is to integrate the stories of several children with the background of the times at that time. This method has a taste of Forrest Gump, but the director did not highlight the heaviness of this history, but chose a more relaxed way of expression. The clever combination of brawls between small groups and historical movement, paired with playful music, makes the whole scene look absurd and funny. And the description of the heroine's brother, from going crazy to throwing away armor and armor, and finally becoming a capitalist criticized by himself, makes people feel a deep irony.

Then there is the use of music. A few songs, lyrical or cheerful, add a lot to a few episodes.

The use of color is also in place. The students of the past wore brightly colored clothes, which made the youthful brilliance instantly materialize. And the camera turns back to the present insipidity, which also makes people feel the sentimentality of the passing of youth. The performance of Jin Yu, who has become an air bag at home, between two rooms with completely different lighting, contrasts the helplessness and darkness of life at once.

If the friendship in this film is purely touching, then the depiction of ideals and reality in it is even more embarrassing.
Nami, who is full of artist dreams for the future, has finally become a well-behaved housewife. The hands that used to be used for painting can only grow old and rough in the endless housework;
Rose, who dreams of plastic surgery every day, becomes She became a mediocre insurance salesman; the
swearing real girl became a pretentious lady;
the golden jade, who was held in the palm of her family's hands when she was a child, and who would go out of her way when she was in trouble, became a daughter-in-law who had no job and no self-confidence and was angry every day;
Fuki, who wanted to be Miss Korea, really became Miss Korea.
For me, the biggest tear in the whole movie is not the final reunion, but Nami playing the disc that recorded the conversation between everyone and their future self as a child. Looking at the young faces with beautiful dreams for the future at that time, and thinking about the situation of everyone in reality, I feel really sad and desolate.

Chunhua said that both Nami and Suzy had the face of a master. In the movie, these three people are indeed more comfortable living. In retrospect, if Suzy hadn't been scratched on her face, she might have really entered the entertainment industry. In this big dye vat, Suzy, who is cold on the surface but is actually a child at heart, may not be able to dominate her life. Perhaps she was lucky after misfortune, she finally chose the path of literature she liked. Everyone else also got a turning point in their lives, Nami was more assertive about her life, and Chunhua, from start to finish, was the best team leader.

Some people also have doubts that since the seven people have such a good relationship, why did they not contact each other at all? In fact, in my opinion, what I have to say is that the plot needs it, but it is not completely unreasonable in terms of plot. Suzy aside, the situation of Fu Hei and Jin Yu may make them unable to take the initiative to face their past friends, Ma Hee is trying to cover up the dark history of being a scolding person in the past, Rose has been charged for debts, and Nami and Chunhua, I think maybe There are some inexplicable guilt towards Suzy. If this accident is apart from the extreme and mental disorder of the drug addict herself, Chunhua's break with her undoubtedly planted the seeds of revenge, while Nami and Suzy's conflict with her accelerated this behavior, and finally Suzy became the biggest victim. They did nothing wrong, but they became the impetus behind the tragedy.

The acting skills of several young actors are not inferior to those of the old actors. The seven little friends have distinct personalities, exaggerated but not contrived, but lively and cute. In addition to the protagonist group, I especially want to praise the two big sisters of the opponent group. Among them, the arrogant eldest sister who often coaxes and runs away, has a good grasp of the scale of "cute villain". Although she often opposes the protagonist, it is not annoying; while the drug addict's acting skills are three-pointed. Hateful and pathetic characters are fully expressed. In the last scene, the pale face, the trembling body, the crazy behavior, and the hateful eyes made people feel terrified when they saw it. The supporting characters who play soy sauce also have their own distinctive features, which must be said to be the success of this movie.

In any case, this is a Korean movie after all, and Koreans may have more feelings after watching it. The popular stars and songs of that era, the historical movements, the popular brands and clothes of the students... It's a pity that as a Chinese audience, I can't get more resonance from it. Now in Chinese movies, the understanding of girlfriends' relationship seems to have reached a distorted extreme, as if it is not called friendship between women if it is not for the sake of men and money. I really want to say something to these directors, fuck you, don’t use your narrow and snobbish vision to measure real youth and friendship, youth will have twists and turns, and friendship will also have conflicts, but if your so-called so-called Your best friend has torn your face with you for these things. That doesn't prove that the friendship between women is as cheap and shallow as you. It only shows that you were not sincere friends from the very beginning.

There are also simple and moving works like "Old Boy" in Chinese movies. Compared with "Sunshine Sisters", it has more old and dark humor, but it also resonates with people. It's a pity that there are too few such movies. The Chopsticks Brothers gave "Old Boys" to the post-80s generation to remember their youth and dreams. When the post-90s generation gradually enters the age of the old and the young, can anyone give us a chance to pay homage to the time together?
