I am really dissatisfied with the plot. It simply spoiled the performance of Jacques Phoenix. I'm surprised how can such a stupid (why does his fierceness look so funny?) Russell cause such a big trouble for them? Why did the first undercover fail? Are they paying tribute to Lord Star's "The King of Comedy"? What worries me the most is that since it is a big case, since the troublesome character of Niu B is faced, why is the final solution so simple? This is too fucking foolish! In the end, the great street crime team of the New York Police Department almost found the clue they spent the entire movie looking for with their ass. Although the last clue was due to Jackie Phoenix's defection, it might have come too soon! ! ! Even if one more clue is added, 20 more minutes will be given to the ending?
In fact, if it is not such a powerful title, I think such a plot is acceptable, but the problem is that the title is we own the night. Compared with the literal translation of "We Have the Night", the other title "The Evil Club" is more appropriate. All the stories revolve around such a club, and there is no shadow of a street crime group! Where's the street? The streets I fucking love! ! !
Finally, I have to reiterate my love for Jacques Phoenix. He is really dazzling, his performance makes everyone else sad, you have to focus all on him. Especially when he was in tears, it was really moving! This is true even when the character is the evil Commode in "Gladiator." Mark Wahlberg is a great mallet by his side (although I also like Mark Wahlberg, but this time I really can't be sure of him). I think that the future achievements of Jacques Phoenix should not lose to Al Pacino. I hope he can meet his Coppola and his "Godfather" soon.
