Appears to be reborn but is actually destroyed

Before watching it, I heard people say that this film was very desperate, but I didn't expect it to be even more desperate in the middle.
When I was searching for this film, I saw that it was classified as a horror film. The whole plot is not scary. The definition of not scary here is probably not scary.
When the world 5 years ago is occupied by the future "myself" 5 years later, I don't know what is the meaning of the so-called make up? The
male protagonist killed himself 5 years ago by mistake, panicked and disturbed . The fact is that in this past world, most of the people around came from the future, and they all killed themselves five years ago with their own hands. I wonder, this kind of killing is so natural. Everyone who goes back hopes to make up for the regrets they once left behind and their inadequacies, but they end up committing even greater sins, so that killing is not a killing, but a matter of course.
Why do they all choose to stay, instead of returning to their own world after restoring what should be restored and what should be restored? This is probably how greed
would have a future self if it did not have the deepest regret. This seemingly rebirth redemption is actually a greater destruction, destroying the past as well as the future.
