The film works at the European Film Festival have always given me the feeling that they are light, anti-routine, full of strong author expression, and they are also very open and discussing about values.

Uncle Ba plays a teacher, and the story is set in the Danish "Alcohol Project", which carries this kind of perception. Although the film does not completely abandon the classic Hollywood narrative structure, it handles it more self and lightly. Step by step, but take the longest and discard the shortest for my use.

Director Thomas Winterberg has shown a strong insight into human nature as early as in "The Hunt". This time, "The Alcohol Project" used a more humorous way to show the tragedy of self-narcotics behind the characters' alcohol experiments.

The setting of the "Alcohol Project" is actually very interesting. If everyone survives the lengthy half an hour with little information, the film will be very interesting next.

The protagonist of the film, Martin, is experiencing a mid-life crisis ahead of time. He can no longer feel the taste of love or affection in the family, and he has no sense of existence as a teacher in school.

It even attracted parents' dissatisfaction with his history teacher's test pressure on students.

At a birthday wine tasting dinner between Martin and a few friends and teachers, he was finally unable to restrain his emotions and wiped out two lines of tears, just as he said he was spoken after drinking.

During the chat, everyone also made a wonderful interpretation of the relationship between wine and people. The blood comes with an alcohol content of 0.05%. Many masters in the world have the habit of drinking. Alcohol is a certain amount of alcohol in the human body. Proportional content will make people feel confident and relaxed.

To say that this is unintentional is to be heard. The next day Martin drank some alcohol during teaching and working hours, but the content was not well controlled, and the class was a bit big tongue, but at least the whole person's dominance of the class was firmly won.

After Martin found three other alcoholic teachers, the four of them hit it off and initiated an experimental study of an alcohol project, in order to verify whether alcohol can make people stronger from EQ to IQ.

So the four of them began to drink quietly during working hours. The experiment was full of curiosity and humor. The four teachers of psychology, sports, music, and history all tasted some sweetness in their posts after drinking.

Each teacher became more witty and confident, more lively, and more pleasing to the students.

When I saw this, I was very curious about how the ending of the film would be handled. Is this film advocating everyone to be happy and encouraging everyone to become a wine fairy? Or is there a final reversal and contrast to criticize drinking? The harm to people, and then return to the issue of positive energy drinking and hurting the body?

No, this is what I think makes me like and surprise the film the most.

In order to deepen the scope of the alcohol plan, the four teachers in the film continue to increase their drinking intensity and increase the alcohol concentration, which ultimately leads to the inability to work normally in class, while the physical education teacher directly becomes addicted to alcohol and breaks away from the experiment itself, which eventually leads to tragedy.

In the life of the protagonist Martin, alcohol did not allow him to redeem the marriage that had died in name. His wife had long since fallen in love with him, and nothing was changed because of the alcohol experiment.

But is alcohol really useless? It’s not the case with psychology teachers. One of the psychology teachers’ students is always stage fright on exams and keeps repeating grades. Finally, the psychology teachers let students drink alcohol during exams to relieve tension and relax their brains. After the students followed suit, they were able to perform supernormally and graduate successfully.

The film ended with the graduation celebration of the students and teachers. To celebrate the smooth graduation, everyone drove champagne and beer, and Martin danced freely in the sun and the crowd.

So, what exactly does "The Alcohol Project" want to convey to the audience. In my opinion, the film is actually intended to not talk about alcohol, but about life itself. Life will not become happier because of alcohol content. Or more miserable, but rely on yourself to try to find a balance in the road of life, maybe alcohol can sometimes help you get closer to the balance, but sometimes it will make you fall into the abyss faster.

Alcohol is a double-edged sword, there is no good or bad, just like our life, full of moving and sorrow.
