Funny, "Criminal City"

"The shoulders are bigger."

Last year's South Korean movie "Train to Busan" caught fire, and actor Ma Dongxi, who shredded zombies in the film, was also quickly known to the audience. Immigrated to the United States when he was young and became the personal trainer of Mark Coleman, the world's top professional mixed martial artist (UFC) champion. After returning to Korea, he became a fitness coach for many big-name stars such as Zheng Yusheng, Kong Liu, Zhao Yincheng, Huang Zhengmin, etc. In many TV series and movies, Ma Dongxi mostly plays supporting roles in many film and television works.

This crime action movie "Criminal City" directed by rookie director Jiang Yuncheng has invited Ma Dongxi as the male lead. Whether the 46-year-old rookie director and the seasoned new star can hand over a satisfactory answer sheet.

Personally, I think this is certainly a movie worth watching.

"Criminal City" is adapted from the anti-gang action carried out by the Geumcheon Police Station in 2004. The film's opening 3 minutes show the aura that the male No. 1 Ma Dongxi should have, and within 7 minutes of the opening, Ma Dongxi's strength is shown many times. In 10 minutes, another thrilling topic came up. So far, the film is compact and neat.

Audiences who have watched a lot of Korean film and television dramas have long understood the routines used in the dramas. In the first half of the show, I try to relax the audience as much as possible, and they can laugh without heart and tears. In the second half, most of the audiences lament that the world is impermanent or sad. tears.

However, this "Criminal City" is not like this. Taking the opening ten minutes as an example, whenever Ma Dongxi appears in a scene, whether it is a real knife or a real gun or a confrontation between the two sides, the presence of such a big man makes people feel completely relaxed. The feeling of showing the strength of big arms and big elbows, but also funny. But when it was the turn of Yin Jishang, who played the film's villain, it was another story. The outlaw who smuggled to South Korea made people nervous as soon as he appeared on the stage, and the brutality and smirk-like fierceness that could not be traced to the end were completely unexplored. It came with trembling and shuddering.

The tone set in the first 10 minutes of the film has been continued. Although the policeman played by Ma Dongxi is mixed in black and white, he always makes people laugh. On the other hand, the outlaw played by Yin Jishang is just the opposite. He is crazy, cruel, and vicious enough, which completely provoked the usual bloody and violent scenes of Korean crime movies, and it is even worse.

Although the background music of the movie played an indelible role when Yin Jishang appeared, it has to be said that the director also contributed a lot to the shaping of the characters.

The rookie director just let the audience laugh and laugh while telling the whole story in fear.

After watching the film, I also figured out two problems. First, the black-and-white Korean policeman portrayed in the film is actually not that powerful, but "just" has bigger shoulders. Second, although the film involves a specific Chinese background, it does not deliberately black China.

The part of Zhao Zhenxiong's cameo is also quite funny.
