Andy Lau's previous films were always criticized, for example, he liked to be handsome, and his acting was too forceful and slightly exaggerated. But To Qifeng sitting in front of the monitor knew what he wanted and what Andy Lau could bring. This film is the absolute pinnacle of Andy Lau's acting skills, with calmness, handsomeness and freedom in the marrow. The usual pretense and exaggeration dissipate and disappear. It is no worse than Tony Leung. There are countless classic lines in the film. Personally, I think this is Andy Lau's best film (tied for Infernal Affairs), Hong Kong's top ten, and Johnnie To's top ten.
