Meet John To

I like this movie very much. On the one hand, it is full of force, which satisfies my favorite temperament for Hong Kong films.

If it makes me think of a movie that is most similar to the dark war, it is not the birth of dark flower or a prefix, but the evil of the east and the west. In East Evil and West Poison, Maggie Cheung only played for less than five minutes, but everyone only remembered Maggie Cheung, because this graceful touch is really too lustrous. The same is true of the dark battle. Almost all film critics are talking about Meng Jiahui. There are only three scenes and six sentences of Meng Jiahui.

I didn't have such a deep impression of To Qifeng's words before. Instead, I thought I liked Andy Lau and Tony Leung, but in the end I found out that I liked To Qifeng and Peng Haoxiang. To Qifeng's Hong Kong films are deep and memorable. The stories are wonderful, but they leave enough room for imagination. There is no senseless, no dizzying gun battles, only intrigue and wrestling. When a police and bandit scene is released, it is turned into a game of chess. , full of a kind of Hong Kong-style romance, the name of this romance is called John To.

Every time I watch these excellent Hong Kong films, I will miss 1999. I miss the short years before and after the return of Hong Kong. A batch of excellent Hong Kong films represented by Galaxy has sprung up. Just like the domestic films miss 1994, the beauty and the peak are left to the last century.

Running Out of Time quotes

  • Doctor: Looks like we won't see each other again.

Cheung: Only in this life, doctor.

  • Cheung: Where am I going to die, when am I going to die... all that doesn't matter to me any more. The most important thing is that I don't die in a police station.
