I just finished watching the 2014 3D film by French film master Godard (translated in Taiwan) in the afternoon. He broke away from the 2D language. He used two 5D and IPHONE to shoot a 3D film. The subtitles and narrative structure of the chapter revisit time and space.

The whole film is divided into two main lines: 1. The discussion on politics, equality, etc., presented with the war material in news images and the documentary images shot; 2. The drama is presented through two pairs of lovers living in the same space at different times. 's narrative.

In the film, the dog and the bleeding bath are two clues in the editing that connect the jumped images: 1. The point of view of the same dog could not have appeared in the living space of the two lovers; 2. During the first shooting The man who was hit on the road, the woman's blood-stained hands after reaching out by the roadside during the day, the two lovers in the bloody bathtub in the bathroom, and the blood flowing by the grapefruit, these shots form an extension of the space and let the dog outside the frame Perspectives construct narrative temporal relationships.

As for the 5D shooting part and the intention of the IPHONE shooting part to be set on the editing, further research is needed.

PS: After watching the movie, I met Mr. Liu, who taught film narratology during my studies in Taiwan, and briefly exchanged for a while. In 3D language, I don’t need to present special effects of action scenes in 3D, but play with time and space, and I still need to watch it several times. The film can be digested slowly. (Go back and buy a disc and have a look)
