In August we sent off two true "author-movie" directors, Ingmar Bergman and Michelangelo Antonioni, whom we prefer to call masters because they truly moved us.
"Days Above the Clouds" shot by Antonioni in his later years is a movie I have watched repeatedly in recent years. The wet weather, the clanging green brick road and the charming European scenery are all planted in my vulgar mind. A more vulgar formalist pursuit, but I stubbornly believe that this is a noble vulgarity.
"Days on the Clouds" is four stories about "encounters".
Story 1. Has anyone ever told you that I love you very much
in an Italian town, where a charming female teacher and a handsome engineer met on an engineer's way.
Small hotel, cozy and full of atmosphere. The floor is dotted with regional flavors, the walls are olive green, and the window is the evening landscape of an Italian town like a painting. They meet again.
"The most beautiful thing is that I pass by by chance", he indulged in this beautiful encounter, he kissed her, she escaped.
Going out to watch the sunset, they talk about the thrill of escaping the city, he kisses her and she accepts.
That night, they returned to their respective rooms and waited for each other. Dark and hesitant.
The next morning, he found her gone.
Two or three years later, they met by chance at the entrance of a very stylish movie theater.
"It's a miracle to meet you again," he said;
"nothing is accidental," she said.
She told her story, she said she was eager to hear the expression, so he kissed her and she ran away.
He left her house a little exasperated, but he returned more impulsive.
He admires her, feels her, she wants to kiss him, this time, he runs away. Disappointed and angry.
She watched him leave, stared, and disappeared into the crowd.
These are two young people who love each other but can't match the rhythm. It's a world of feeling but full of reality. "There's always something that settles, like scum in a coffee cup."
Story 2: If the running water can turn back, please take me to the
French seaside town, the wet mountain road, the director met a 100% girl like Sophie Marceau.

The girl stares at the director in the clothing store at work. The director is gone.
See you again. The girl said that she personally killed her father, 12 knives, and the director did not speak.
"Are you going or staying? Do you want to see me tonight?" the girl said.
After the passion, the director left again, and across the window, they laughed.
This is an insecure girl. He is a director who is destined to go. Maybe the meaning of this incident is that the director is destined to go.
Story 3: Lonely Season
Cafe, "I'm sorry to disturb you", he met a girl.
The girl wanted to share a good article from a magazine with him.
Three years later. "Want her or me?" the wife asked hysterically.
"Can you touch me gently while talking?" the girl asked infinitely seductively.
He makes me feel tired.
He wanted both sides,
but his wife met another man who was abandoned by his wife in another place.
In a sense, two sad people together are a happy couple.
Story 4 On February 13, the
young man met a woman with a satisfied face, and he said she was a woman in love.
The woman was reticent and walked all the way to St. John's Cathedral.
The young man fell in love with this mysteriously inhospitable woman, even though he believed she was the woman in love.
The woman asked, "You should be afraid of death, right?"; the
young man said, "I'm afraid it's not enough to describe it"; the
woman said, "I'm afraid of the inevitable life."
The rain washed over the city and them.
"I'm going to the monastery tomorrow," the woman said to the rain-clad boy at the door.
The lad ran out of sight of the camera.
The young man did say that he fell in love with a woman in love, but the woman fell in love with God.
All of these are fragments of my mind that often lead me into silence and darkness, in which reality is lit up; in silence, other people's words begin to become clearer...
