- Are you afraid of death?
——I am not afraid of death, I am afraid of living, I am afraid of this inevitable life.

4 stories related to love, gathered together, the passing love, the love-hate relationship, the painful separation, and the boundless fear of life and death, outline a life trajectory.

In the first story, the hero and heroine meet by chance in a small Italian town. The girl waited for the boy all night, but he didn't show up; when the boy finally got up the courage to knock on the girl's door in the morning, she had already left. A few years later, when they reunited in the theater, he kissed her on the lips, but she pushed him away; after he knocked on the girl's door again as he had done many years ago, she finally made up her mind to devote herself to his embrace, his hand. It floated over every inch of her body, and suddenly flew away. Naked and dazed, the girl heard a heavy slam on the door. She rushed to the window and watched him leave step by step.
In the face of such a repeatedly missed love, I actually did not sigh. You can say that their timing is wrong, as we often hear people sigh in life, but life has actually given them many opportunities, and they are determined to throw them one by one. It's not that fate told them to pass by, but they care too much about love. In love, what is right or wrong? If you work hard, but you still lose, it is a kind of perfection. You can win it, but because of some selfish stubbornness, you will abandon it forever, and regret will be deeply rooted in your heart. The girl leaning against the window, the boy who turned back frequently, when they remembered this last picture, they didn't know whether they would hate each other or themselves.

In the fourth story, the hero and heroine meet by chance in another small town. He was fascinated by her charming face and slightly grim expression, and followed her all the way. They talk about desire, they talk about death. She felt that human desires were too much, so she suffered. He just felt that people's desires made life successful. They went all the way with their own opinions, and no one persuaded the other. They seemed to be two extremes, using their own language to argue with the people on the other end.
He said that we are alive, this is all we have, we are full of expectations because of the unknown tomorrow, and we are happy because of it.
She said, you must be afraid of death, right?
He said, yes, I am afraid of death. Are you not afraid?
She said, I am not afraid of death, I am afraid of living, I am afraid of the inevitable life.

If you live a dull life, death is a relief. We live in a world full of all kinds of normal or distorted desires. We know that desire is the source of all our pain, but we are happy to wander in the entanglement of all kinds of desires, tirelessly. The boy lives a secular life. He is unwilling to think deeply about the issue of life and death. He simply lives his life happily, chasing after the woman he likes. The girl has lived a life of tranquility for many years. She watched the world bound by materialistic desires from the sidelines. She knew the whole truth of the matter, so she was disappointed in the world, and all she eagerly hoped for was death. Perhaps most people are still willing to enjoy life heartlessly with eternal fear of death, rather than have the courage to face death, but live a dull life. Before meeting him, her heart was already dead. But meeting him did not save her from her destiny.

What if I said I love you, he asked?
She answered, like lighting a candle in a bright room.
He asked, can I see you again tomorrow?
She replied, I'm going to be a nun tomorrow.

He stared at her in a daze, and she closed the door with an expressionless expression. He followed her all day, even went to church with her to hear the mass that made him fall asleep immediately, and he never gave up his desire to be close to her in the pouring rain. But at this moment, he surrendered his gun to fate. A single word shattered everything.

The story came to an abrupt end. Not this story, but all stories. Every obsession may collapse in an instant. You must understand.
