In the 1960s, Beijing educated youths Chen Zhen (played by Feng Shaofeng) and Yang Ke (played by Dou Xiao) came to the Elun prairie in Inner Mongolia to jump in the queue and joined the Mongolian herdsman Bilige (played by Basin) and his daughter-in-law Gass. The production team of Mai (played by Anghanima) has started herding life for several years. During the contact with the wolves, Chen Zhen gradually learned about this animal with strong curiosity, and even had the idea of raising a small wolf by himself. The Mongolian people revered wolves and loved the grasslands, while the Han people plundered the land utilitarian, which led to "wars" between wolves and humans. The production team headed by Bao Shungui (Yin Zhusheng), the director of the field department, finally launched a wolf-killing campaign, which brought the relationship between the wolves and humans into a state of tension... The relationship between nature and humans has also encountered unprecedented challenge.
The film was adapted from Jiang Rong's novel of the same name and took 5 years to complete.
I don't know if man changed nature, or if wolves challenged man.
