slightly disappointing movie

I saw the premiere in Guangzhou yesterday, and I felt so-so. I don't know if it's because the director didn't understand the original book well enough or what. Of course, I haven't read the original book, but from the feeling of watching the movie, the scenes are well shot, but there is a lack of careful portrayal of the characters, Feng Shaofeng's feelings for the wolf Without proper foreshadowing, I feel that some behaviors and changes of the protagonist, including the villain, are rather abrupt. The plot is more like a separate and irrelevant scene. There is no moderate excess and explanation. The whole movie is slightly flat and has no climax. The film is more like a documentary, and it doesn't give the audience anything that touches the depths of their hearts. In addition, Dou Xiao, whom LP and I like very much, is basically a soy sauce, and Feng Shaofeng's play style and personality seem to be different. It fits the character of the protagonist too much.

Wolf plays better than people. The textured scenes are magnificent. Regarding the wisdom, dignity and laws of nature of the wolf, the core of the wolf's totem is still a little shallow. The wolf and horse chased a climax, and the sublimation in the back seemed a little thin. In the last scene, remembering the difference between PI's people and tigers, the wolf turned his head and walked away. Movies like this are relatively rare in China, despite its shortcomings.
