On November 18, 2021, this movie was re-released in South Korea, which made me know that there was such a classic Korean movie 20 years ago. Adapted from the novel "Love Letter" by Japanese writer Asada Chiguchi, I was amazed by Cecilia Cheung twenty years ago at a glance. The storyline of the film is not complicated, and the narrative style is consistent with the style before the start of Korean commercial films. Both Cui Minzhi and Cecilia Cheung's acting skills are in place and can't pick out any flaws.

The male protagonist has also undergone a huge transformation in this fake marriage. From the beginning, he didn't even look at Bai Lan, to when he was touched by the first letter Bai Lan sent him, and then to the end of reading Bai Lan's second will.
