Yesterday I watched Hirokazu-eda's new film "The Truth". The story of mother and daughter trying to reconcile.
The only thing that makes me feel awkward is that such a Japanese script doesn't seem like it should be set in a French family, even if the two female leads are Deneuve and Binoche.
Deneuve's most important line is as follows: "When an actor starts focusing on charity or politics, it means that they have lost their job. They have lost the war on the screen and can only throw themselves into reality, pretending to be with Reality fights. You know what? I keep winning. Because of this, I can live with loneliness." Here, "actor" can be replaced by any other profession.
