Before the movie started, I thought of a question for Director Shie
"Director Zhi has always been focusing on Eastern families. How to understand the commonality and individuality of family forms under the radiation of Eastern and Western ideology and culture?"
Let me interpret the director's work as the answer I received. I can't say that this is a bad movie, but I always feel that such a story is only suitable for the screen, not for the life that is actually happening on the streets.
When I walked out of the theater, my most direct impression was, "There are so many lines this time." As expected of a Westerner who can easily say "I love you", the people in the film hurt each other in language, and also use Words shake hands and make peace. All important and unimportant plots are advanced in language. There is a fierce and clear contradiction between the mother and daughter in the film. In the end, the two talk about it and the contradiction disappears. The storm came and went quickly, and the waves it stirred were spectacular, but there was less of an aftertaste.
What I like, as expected, is still the story of the awkward oriental person who can only say "the moonlight is so beautiful tonight". The surface is calm, but in reality, the undercurrent is surging. Those dull and painful regrets and anguish, together with the small and short-term satisfaction and happiness, stay in the mouth of the mouth, and are familiarly rubbed into the family cooking by the mother. The movie is over, but the lot in the camera still seems to be moving forward, slowly becoming you and me.
Even though there are many differences in cultural thinking between Eastern and Western people, I have always believed that there is always a part of human beings that resonates with each other at the root. wandering. This is the strength of Director Zhi, and it is precisely to express these sorrows and happiness that are lighter than the wind and heavier than lead. We will never be able to escape from it, and we will always be addicted to it.
After watching the movie, I thought of a new question to ask the director,
"It's Director Zhi, are you a dog party or a cat party?"
