A touch of zen

Let’s talk about the version first. I watched this film on Youku, and the brightness is still unsatisfactory, especially the one-hour haunted house battle in the middle.

This film is called a chivalrous girl, but it is far less clear than the chivalrous image of Jin Yanzi in The Drunk Heroes. Said to be a chivalrous girl, in fact, the chivalrous girl is a supporting role from beginning to end, or the English name is more appropriate.

The nearly three-hour film is roughly divided into three parts. The first part is brisk and humorous, and the middle part turns to a ghost movie. After all, it is understandable that it is an adaptation of Liaozhai Zhiyi. The third part is surprisingly good. At that time, a new climax suddenly appeared, and the images of both villains and positive characters were more prominent. In general, the editing is still relatively protracted and the rhythm is very slow, but the advantages are the soundtrack and pictures, which are very distinctive. In terms of action design and handling of the ending, they are much better than the drunk man.

In general, it is worth watching, but if it is only for the two characters of chivalrous women, I suggest to watch Jin Yanzi in the drunk man.

PS: 1. The poster is very beautiful. 2. I was a little surprised to see Sammo Hung. Although he didn't have any lines, he was really a natural comedy action actor from the point of view of his expression.
