"The Book of Evil"

The original book provides a good space for the inner world of the characters; the undercurrent in the first half of the film is very well laid out, especially the sense of photography setting; the second half combines the background explanation and the climax picture through the way that Miike Takashi is good at, no accident.

It's just that there are many breakthroughs in the entire Japanese film category and even the director's own category, and except for two or three characters, most of the interesting characters lack excavation, and the role is not strong, which is a pity. However, it is still regarded as Takashi Miike's most completed work in recent years.
