The millionaire took his little wife and photographer to Alaska for vacation. During the period, with the encouragement of the photographer, the rich man and a black guy took a small plane and went deep into the mountains to find a hunter for shooting. Unfortunately, the hunter went deeper into the mountains to hunt bears. After a group of people discussed it, they continued to fly and search. Suddenly encountered a flock of birds during the flight, the plane crashed and fell into the lake. The pilot was killed (unconscious?). After pulling a handful of the pilot and found that he did not respond, the photographer took the lead in drilling out of the plane through the hole. The rich man used a knife to cut off the black boy's seat belt, pulled the black boy who had been in a coma, and took a backpack on the plane to rush out of the water.
The subsequent story unfolds in the harsh natural conditions of the Alaska mountains. The plot is designed with a series of hardships and twists and turns, through each character's response to the same dilemma, showing their respective character traits. The rich man is calm, rational, confident, positive, knowledgeable, and kind; the black guy has no ability to withstand pressure and is on the verge of collapse at any time; the photographer is cynical, jealous, self-righteous but not capable. In the end of the role, the black guy was killed by the bear in the middle of the plot. The photographer died when the rescue plane was about to land. Only the rich man survived.
I understand that this is a story about the strong and survival. When faced with a difficult situation, the three characters in the story are the weak (the black guy who breaks down and crying at any time), the ordinary (the photographer who relies on others), and the strong (the rich man who always actively saves himself and finds a way to get out of trouble). Whether in a secular society or a barren wilderness, dilemmas can arise at any time. Only those who have the traits of being strong can succeed (get money or status in the secular society) and survive (in barbaric nature).
Many movies, videos, and book stories have given the stereotype of the rich man: insidious and cunning, deliberately framed, cruel and indifferent. This movie subverts this impression, but I personally think that it is more in line with the facts: no one can casually succeed, wealth, status, life, whether it can continue into the play or the end, ultimately depends on the addition of goodness. Yes, calm, rational, confident, positive, and knowledgeable.
