"Domestic Lingling Paint" is a playful and deconstructed "parody", full of puns, ironies, imitations, and tributes. Many of the details have been analyzed by countless film critics. I only talk about the points that I am more interested in.
1. Time.
At the beginning of the film, Ling Lingqi accepted the commander's task. The camera cuts to Ling Lingqi's messy home, ready to set off, and sweeps across the table with the clutter. There are two booklets on it. One is "Social English Crash Dafa"; the other is the secret agent's manual issued by the state, "Spy Manual". Notably, the brochure says 1965. At the beginning of the film, Ling Lingqi said to the commander, "After ten years, I thought the country had forgotten me.
These two clues can be combined to explain why Ling Lingqi was "hidden" for ten years. In the conversation between Commander Chen and Commander (The Golden Gun), including Ling Lingqi's file, it was written that he could not even be a backup agent because of his lack of ability and height, so he went to the place to sell pork. . But from these two clues we can see that this explanation is not valid.
This point can be further extended. When Ling Lingqi was dragged to the execution ground in the second half of the film, he said that I was very familiar with Commander Chen (of course he didn't know that Commander Chen had been killed by the commander). At first I thought it was a "pretence" to frighten the soldiers who executed them. But thinking about it carefully, why didn't he directly say that he was very familiar with the commander? Wouldn't that be more useful? It can be seen that he is indeed very familiar with Commander Chen. Since he was so familiar, Commander Chen also said in the secret conversation with the Commander at the beginning that he had not been working as a secret agent for many years, and he could not do anything at all, and was simply incompetent. Before, I always thought it was a satire of people like Commander Chen who couldn't really identify talents. However, if these two details are combined, it may be considered that Ling Lingqi deliberately concealed his strength in some ways. When the general environment was turbulent, he gained peace and security from "idling" in the local area for ten years. : Selling meat, having sex, drinking, practicing knives.
Another thing worth pondering is that, although he was kept in the snow for ten years, Ling Lingqi was not so reluctant to accept the task at first (he had no power or desire for fame); secondly, after he could not refuse, he dressed up and prepared very seriously. From this, it can be seen that, despite the circumstances, Ling Lingqi's character is very reliable, and he has no complaints about that: he can see through and see through, but he is not persistent, and he is concerned but not angry. This may be his attitude.
2. Knife.
Ling Lingqi's weapon is a knife. There are many layers to the association here. Let's go from shallow to deep.
1) Lingling lacquer's knife is in line with the folk's imagination and understanding of knights. When Ling Lingqi met with Xiangqin, he said that the knife was the knife of Xiao Li Feidao. It can be seen that the arrangement of the knife is in line with his grass-roots identity, and also in line with the word "domestic" in the title of our film. 2) Lingling lacquer's best knife is a pig-killing knife and a meat-chopping knife, which are tools that serve daily life and maintain livelihood. Ling Lingqi didn't say that he built a magic sword to kill the people. His knife is very versatile, even for cutting meat, some are for living, some are for giving money to prostitutes, and some are for catching girls. These plots are not only to show the "human" side of the hero (it is simply "human, too human"), but a metaphor: the domestic (classical) knights are all ordinary and holy; the so-called highlight moment of saving the world , In their opinion, it is no different from eating, dressing, and having sex every day, except that it requires a little strength to sell.
3) When did this knife appear? When did Ling Lingqi start using a knife? We will find that the commander has Ling Lingqi's file, but neither he nor his agent Xiangqin seem to realize that Ling Lingqi used a knife. It can be guessed that this knife was made and used by Ling Lingqi after being hidden in the snow for ten years. This metaphor is even more positive and sunny: the background and his personal fortunes have not been good in the past ten years, and his life of drinking, selling meat, and having sex is not very healthy, but behind all this fog, He has a sincere heart: he will use his ability, talent and rare leisure to hone one thing well. Ling Lingqi said that he is a swordsman, and the sword never leaves his body. This is very simple, just like what we understand as "the unity of man and sword", he is the knife, and the knife is him. Ten years of hard work made this knife hard enough to withstand the destructive bullet fired by the commander at him; it was also sharp enough to split the commander's armor, which couldn't be melted by the 50,000-degree temperature, without any hindrance. The reason why Ling Lingqi was able to reach this state is that he didn't forget his identity, and he didn't see himself clearly because of a short-term bad situation. "I'm actually an actor/agent/knife", this line is also very suitable here.
4) A butcher knife killed the commander. The commander is a pig. This symbol is very obvious. Another commander's death posture is kneeling and kowtow. Although the camera did not cut upwards, I guess the direction of the commander's "kneeling" is the positive energy characters: zhongdang aiguo. Because Ling Lingqi said at the beginning that he doesn't deserve to "stand" under the words, so he should kneel.
5) Finally this knife has the inscription of Deng core on it. This shows that the arrival of a new era and the various analysis in (3) have been recognized by Core. In terms of encounters, the two have similarities, right?
3. Da Vinci
Da Vinci was the kind of eccentric scientist, intellectual. Many comments on his analysis have already said very wonderfully. Let me add two points.
1) Do you find that Da Vinci is a person who likes to engage in upper-level routes. Ling Lingqi sells meat, he sells vegetables. But Ling Lingqi is just selling meat, it seems that he doesn't have much external pursuit. This is not the case with Da Vinci. When selling vegetables, he has to enter a research institute, and even if he is regarded as a research object, he has to enter a "temporary job". Then cooperate with the commander to study new weapons. No one paid any attention to him at all, but he enjoyed himself. Then, after eliminating the Golden Gunners, Lingling lacquer disarmed and returned to the field, but Da Vinci "has risen". This is interesting.
2) Did Da Vinci go the way of the commander? Judging from the film, Da Vinci and Ling Lingqi have a good relationship and seem to be Ling Lingqi's superior. After eliminating the Golden Gunners, Da Vinci seemed to become the commander and began to assign tasks to Ling Lingqi. The mission is bizarre: search for lost satellites in outer space. This is not within the reach of manpower at all. Could it be to remove the hidden danger of Ling Lingqi, like the commander's mission? If Ling Lingqi accepts the task, I don't have this guess. But Ling Lingqi turned off the secret communication video with a sophisticated look. I don't think it's that simple.
