I accidentally watched "Big Shot" on TV, and after reading the film review, I followed the original version.
Maybe because I reviewed the script once (the domestic remake basically copied all the plots), I didn't feel that the original version had any outstanding performance, but because it was the second brush that saw the lack of the script.
As I said in my short comment, neither Liu Yaren nor Bao Beier performed the morbid manic rich second generation I imagined. The storyline is very broken and some parts are unreasonable. Of course, there are also reasons for editing in the middle.
In all fairness, I think Liu Yaren didn't have the kind of twitchy and ferocious feeling that he imagined in the performance. Maybe it was limited by his appearance? Babel instead twitches more and looks a little more morbid (but his baby fat really limits the performance).
For Liu, it is an attempt to break through. The three films are relatively breakthroughs, and now I am missing one.
