"Doomsday Escape": A doomsday disaster film that is quite tortuous and has a strong sense of substitution

If you choose the most surprising movie of the year, it is definitely this one! The poster is very simple, with the face of Gerald Butler and the theme of the disaster film, you must think "Oh No, it must be a bad film" but it is not! This is the best disaster movie I have seen in recent years! So that I immediately wanted to watch it a second time. And this is indeed a doomsday crisis movie with a strong sense of substitution and relatively strong sense of realism. After 2020, I think everything that happened in the film might actually happen.

The best part of the story is that although the setting is very clichéd, and the comet hits the earth, facing a confused ending like a dinosaur, some people have been chosen to secretly build the shelter in advance, but the way of telling the story is similar to that of "2012". The pattern of disaster films is very different. Traditional disaster films such as "2012" always hope to take into account the global perspective. There are many protagonists, showing people of different classes and different situations, and use huge destructiveness as a gimmick, and many places are too dramatic. But this film only allows the audience to follow an ordinary family of three to show their escape. Everything we see is through these three people, even if it involves a global crisis, it is through the TV screens they watched or the broadcasts they hear. This is more similar to the "War of" starring Tom Cruise #Tom Cruise# . "The Worlds" will be more mysterious and at the same time easy for the audience to establish dependence and resonance on the protagonist.

The format of this film is smaller than that of "War of the Worlds". It does not want to establish a heroic image or attract the audience through aliens. The purpose it wants to achieve is to make you unable to help thinking: if you are a male protagonist, How can I escape? And this process is really more tortuous than imagined.

To put it simply, the experience of the male protagonist's family is that he clearly saw the harbor of hope, but he couldn't get there anyway, and there were too many twists and turns in the middle. From forgetting to take medicine for the child, to preventing the child from getting on the plane, and then the child being kidnapped again, the whole family finally encountered all kinds of dangers on the way to reunite and escape. Basically in the end, I couldn’t believe that they would survive. I felt that this family was destined to be out of luck.

Moreover, the film shows that disasters are approaching, panic and riots everywhere are very real. There is no need to see how other countries or places of interest are destroyed. Everything the protagonist’s family sees along the way is enough to show the possibility of the world losing order. All kinds of chaos that have appeared.

The story does a very good job of creating turning points, tension, fear and anxiety. Most of the time the audience's emotions will always be drawn by the protagonist. I don't know what bad luck will happen in the next second. Basically, after reading it, people will feel that instead of risking survival and getting angry, it is better to wait for the end of the world quietly at home with your family.

There are also a few large-scale disaster scenes in the film, but most of them are displayed on a small mobile screen or TV screen, which does not require too many special effects, but feels very realistic. Morena Baccarin (Morena Baccarin), who played his girlfriend in "Deadpool", played the lead role's wife in the film. This mother has indeed experienced a lot of heartbreaking frustrations. Almost everyone can experience the helpless anxious mood, and I believe it will resonate more easily than the male protagonist.

If this year did not make you feel a sense of crisis, then watch this film, you may be able to feel the stimulus brought about by the doomsday crisis again. Push!
