The first film review, dedicated to Kenshin
(Disclaimer: It only represents personal feelings, don't spray if you don't like it)
advantage
1. The scene in the live-action version of Ren Zhu is definitely the largest and most luxurious in the series, and the action scenes are definitely the most pleasing and hearty.
If you haven't read the original manga, trust me, you'll be hooked.
If you have read the original comics, then you can't pick out many problems with the restoration of Taoism and the actions of the characters. You will feel that compared with the trilogy seven years ago, the various details, scenes, and stunts of Renzhuan have been surprisingly improved. It is definitely a masterpiece as an action martial arts movie.
2. The acting skills of all the actors are online, especially Shin Tian Zhenjianyu, his role as Yukino Yuki is really amazing to me.
3. For me, there are two surprises in this movie, one is the return of Sojiro who has already appeared in the trailer and performed well. The other is an original plot of the live-action movie near the end, which saves the movie directly in my heart.
4. In terms of fitting the original work, the film crew has really made a lot of efforts...
5. The plot is not easy to tell a story perfectly and perfectly while maintaining the fit of the original as much as possible.
Below is the fly in the ointment
1. The rhythm in the early stage is really too fast, but it is not to say that it is played from beginning to end. But it gives the impression that the early stage seems to be catching up with the plot. And how does it feel that the supporting characters in this movie seem to be... a lot more than the previous work, this perception is really lowered.
2. Literary dramas are obviously incapacitated (even perfunctory in some aspects...)
3. The insertion of the final battle is a bit too abrupt
4. The flashback of the memory chapter in the middle, although the time is not big and must be inserted, will inevitably affect the expectations for the future memory chapter more or less.
5. Some people have abandoned the core plot in the manga, which is still a pity for fans of the manga...
5. It is really eye-catching to see the plot related to our country, but some places are really...not so comfortable
Summary: Whether in terms of scenes, action scenes, or plot, this movie is worthy of one of the closing works of the series known as "Rurouni Kenshin", which is known as "Changing the ceiling". Crime and punishment, love and hate, clinging to the past or moving towards the future, these themes are also well represented. Of course, the early plot is abrupt and hasty, and the slightly uneven distribution of the main and supporting roles is also a flaw. However, despite the flaws, it can be regarded as an excellent comic film.
