Seven years, what does seven years mean? Seven years is long enough for life. Seven years is enough to describe the "stage" in the long history. The Anti-Japanese War lasted eight years, and seven years were only one-eighth less than it.
Seven years have passed since the first trilogy, and one of the main actors has not dropped for seven years. This alone is enough for five stars. It's a pity that Yosuke Eguchi's eye bags are a little deeper. After the whole play, there is no extra action except for smoking violently. In addition to tooth protrusion, there is no new trick or half. There is no new progress in personality, therefore, one star is deducted. Four stars.
As the benchmark work of the comic film, the civil and military drama has reached a new level of unity and harmony. In particular, martial arts is the core of this series. The question worth pondering comes, where does the martial arts show shine? There are three personal opinions:
Storyboard design rooted in comic composition. Highlighting character modeling and facial close-up, more inclined to the psychological portrayal of the characters in the fight.
Silky and precipitous camera moves. The camera moves and the action actors are integrated into one, absorbing the realistic and precipitous nature of the hand-held camera and eliminating its instability.
Chinese and Japanese action design. Action director Kenji Tanigaki, as a member of the Zhen family class, also tends to be realistic in action design, tends to portray physical characteristics, and uses quick editing to highlight the quickness of moves. The more common "running along the wall" is often seen in Donnie Yen's action films, leading the trend of "parkour".
The above are worthy of reference and tribute to martial arts designers.
The literary drama is relatively bland, or a bit cold. The individual reason is that the role of "Xuedaiyuan" is weak and cannot arouse much interest. Because the main nucleus is the origin of the cross scar, Xue Daiyuan had to be reduced to the role of a "tool man", and even his status was far inferior to Xue Daiba. And as the villain, there is Zhi Zhixiong who is "collapsed" in front of him, Sina Mori Cangzi who is full of anti-bones in the middle, and Sojiro who is a miniature fox in the back. In front of him, Xue Daiyuan, who was wearing sunglasses and was expressionless in the whole scene, would only be cool and dazed.
Speaking of Sojiro, he actually jumped backwards. There is some overlap with Jianxin in the character design, and there is a back-to-back love scene with Jianxin. It really destroys the image and temperament of the villain. It can only be regarded as a kind of memory of the author to this popular little king.
Remembering is the soul of this work. The memory of the classic characters, the memory of the wonderful plot, and the memory of the past "sores". Let's also cherish the memory of the author and Yue Shenhong, such a comprehensive and positive author, who has eaten Guan Si because of "suspected pedophile" and ruined his future. It's a pity anyway.
