The two episodes I'm most interested in are: the father saying goodbye to his daughter rowing away, and the old daughter finding the boat in the deep grass.
In the scene of my father's farewell, I always felt that he was taking the initiative to die. The father walked down the embankment lightly and reluctantly rushed back to pick up his daughter, indicating that he knew he would not come back. Some people interpret the scene where the old daughter lifts up the bicycle for the last three times as saying "I can save it again". Compared with the father's initiative to park the car, it is hard not to make people think that he is determined to do so.
The scene where my daughter found the boat in the deep grass made me feel very disappointed. As the age grows, the water in the lake gradually dries up, and it is finally time to go in and explore the other side. The old daughter walked in tentatively, and gradually approached the truth of the matter - her father's boat was half-buried in the lake sand. So many years have passed, and the road of my life is over. I waited and hoped endlessly, and kept staring at the distant shore... But it turned out that my father was so close to me that he fell asleep in this place. I finally found you. So the daughter lay down and curled up in the boat where her father was buried. The moment she lay down, she looked so helpless and tired. A sigh.
The reason why I want to write these two episodes is mainly because I think these two scenes are very time-consuming, rich in details, and full of emotions, which are completely different from the riding scenes in the middle. There are stories, there are emotions, maybe there are some personal experiences in them, and they are not just symbols.
