Some things and some people you will never forget

You may never know why the little girl's dad disappeared at the beginning of the film, but that doesn't matter, you can imagine any reason. When I first saw him let go of the little girl and disappear in the boat, my first reaction was that he committed suicide. At first, the little girl couldn't understand because of her young age. She only knew that her father had left her, and she didn't know when he would come back, but she always believed that waiting would have results. So she began to grow and live while waiting. No matter when it was alone at the beginning or with friends afterwards, that sense of absence was always in her heart. So she never left. For many days, she would ride a bicycle back to the place where her father disappeared, look, wait, and then leave in disappointment.
The uphill on the road that appears repeatedly in the film always took a lot of effort to climb up when the girl was young. Does this imply a mental disorder in the little girl? When her father first started disappearing, she might have held out hope that he would come back one day. But will the repeated disappointments make her discouraged or even hopeless? Wouldn't she have in her heart the confusion and pain of why her father abandoned me? All these questions are to some extent the psychological obstacles that the uphill represents, blocking the girl's waiting and longing for her father. But there are some things and some people that you will never forget for the rest of your life, no matter how these things hurt you or how they touched your heart, because love is such a miraculous thing that makes you desperate.
Pain and obstacles cannot be forgotten, and neither can love and care elsewhere. In the back of the film, the girl grew up to be a girl, fell in love, and later married as a mistress and had her own small family. These seem to be enough to make up for the lack in her heart, but she still stops and looks when she walks that path. Maybe even she herself felt that she had forgotten about her father and no longer cared about the past. But the habit of stopping by the lake to take a look has been retained, and at the same time reminded her of her complicated feelings for her father. She may have thought about a lot of answers over the years, why did her father abandon her back then, but she couldn't get the exact answer no matter what. Doubts, confusion, and even hatred accompanied her step by step, but until she became an old woman with gray hair, she still couldn't let go of her love for her father.
At the end of the film, she rode a bicycle alone to the lake where her father disappeared. An interesting scene is her act of parking her bike. She repeatedly parked the bicycle, but the bicycle that had accompanied her for many years always fell to the ground. It reminds me of so many years of persistent waiting, even the tool made of steel can't survive the time, but she did it. So long has passed, and her face has changed, but in her heart, she is always the little girl who watched her father disappear. She longed to see her father and longed for his love. This is the biggest pursuit of her life, the most perfect destination for her love. Her love for her father was always there, and the more she longed for it, the greater the proportion of that love in her life, until the day she died. There are some things and some people that you will never forget for the rest of your life.
