All things fair

The film is concerned with the growth of a boy. The difficult journey of boy to man. Like cicada shedding pain, learn to accept in the midst of suffering (or an event that is not a big deal in the eyes of an adult). Adolescent boys learn sex and love with their unique sensitivity, and begin to explore and pay attention to the world with their own eyes. Everything is so unexpectedly fresh.

The theme of sex and love is brought out by a soft and gorgeous opera solo. At the beginning of the film, the article "On Sexual Intercourse" flows slowly along with the music, setting the biggest theme of the film. Since then, every time Stie is attracted by the beauty of sex, this music will play again, and it will touch the softest part of your heart. From the music, we can also feel that the director affirms this feeling. Although at the end, it ends up twisted and bitter. Finally, when he ignored the temptation of the female teacher and turned to look for the girl, he had retrieved what had been lost for a long time. What he was looking for was an emotion beyond sex. There is the satisfaction of being adored and loved, and the throbbing of youth. It can't be called love either, but there is already a man's initial understanding and orientation of love.

With the melody of the grand symphony, another theme of the film is played: Frank, the teacher's husband, leads him into a wider world. Beethoven's music, wool socks, Frank sketched a natural and perfect world for Stie. However, Hitler's clamor, the popularity of nylon fabrics (the arrival of large industry and commerce), a quiet era collapsed like this. Frank's helplessness, the death of his brother, the unbearable pain of his parents, and all the moral icons who once stood above the ground have become vulnerable in the turmoil of society. But in this change, Sidi slowly learned to be strong and responsible. When he embraced these adults with his arms of understanding and comfort, he had suddenly grown up.

The end of the film: In slow motion, Stiti waddles closer and closer with all the dictionaries. The school's oppressive doors were permanently closed behind his back.

While walking erratically, a man is walking towards us, full of courage and strength. He no longer needs schools, no more education. He has been able to stand with his own mind.

The soft soprano revolves around the painting room again. It was the farewell and memorial of youth.

I rented a disc back then and was surprised when I found that the heroine was the director’s second wife and the little actor was the director and the first wife’s son.

The teacher looks very good...Although it looks a little old with the male pig's feet, it is still a very charming person...~
