As a super-British movie (I'm right), the director tried to add youth, and the horror element made the "X-Men" series stand up again.
Unfortunately, it failed.
As a horrible super-English movie, it either has a brutal slaughter scene like "Wolverine 3", or the hero confronts the fear that erupts in the deepest heart when confronting him.
"New Mutants" only achieves the latter. In this 94-minute movie, the movie has repeatedly shown what each character fears most.
Secret Guest's Laughing Man
Cannon killed his fellow workers and his father when he was a miner
Sunspot burned his girlfriend to death
Vicious and afraid of the priest because he was treated as a witch
And the protagonist's bear
I always believe that when facing your deepest fears, no matter how powerful you are, you can't deal with it. You will feel weak and weak like being impotent with a dog's head.
But this did not help the plot, and the inner activities of these large numbers of characters did not interact with the subsequent plot.
