As a war genre film, "kill" is nothing more than the confrontation between the two armies, internal killing and suicide, which are basically involved in this film. Its best scenes aren't in the wars, but in those truce periods, homesick tears, Yung Yong and a wooden crate to North Korea.
Anti-war. The person to be looked for and investigated is a war madman type character, which is concentrated in Gao Xiu and also in several other characters. It's just that Gao Xiu's cursing and survival philosophy made him more like a madman than a madman like Brando. Lee Je-hoon's passionate mobilization order before the final battle seems to have escaped the machine gun shooting of his comrades who were anesthetized by morphine. That is to say, these characters are still too righteous. Demons want evil.
woman. The North Korean female fighter as a plot line is the weakest design. I don't believe a photo or a few words is enough to make a soldier drop his gun. After the male protagonist let her go several times, he finally stabbed the bayonet into her chest, and finally let go of his obsession and completed personal growth, but she was originally a waste character. How can such a complicated war confrontation be softened and dissolved by a woman?
Too much sensationalism. Full of regrets.
The technical scene is too awesome. Although some scenes were filmed silly, the details of the crippled arms and legs, the brutality of hand-to-hand combat, and the changing seasons on the battlefield are really in place.
