My Three Gorges

Just watched "The Good Man in Three Gorges", it was very heavy. Not because of the story itself but because of where the story takes place.
The movie made me sigh very much at the beginning, because I saw the Longmen Bridge at the entrance of the Little Three Gorges that was deeply imprinted in my heart when I was four years old. At that time, I was carried by my father for the first time in my life. Travel, from Wanxian has been through the Three Gorges to Yichang. In addition, the Shixian Taibaijiu that appeared in the film for a long time is also familiar to me. It is the most popular type of liquor in the Three Gorges Reservoir area.
The story takes place in Fengjie, Kuimen, Baidicheng... But there are also many scenes in the film that were shot in Wushan. For example, the magnificent bridge is the Wushan Yangtze River Bridge. My hometown is actually a little far from here, and the economic situation is much better, but because of the Three Gorges Project, my hometown has also become a reservoir area, and I have also become a Three Gorges immigrant.
Many people have asked me about the Three Gorges Project, and I think this is a complicated question. On the one hand, many problems in the reservoir area reflected in the film do exist, such as the contradiction of relocation, the hollowing out of industries, the protection of cultural relics, the loss of traditions... Of course, these are not as serious and not as serious as those that were deliberately enlarged in the film. confusion. But on the other hand, the Three Gorges Project has indeed brought about a lot of good changes in the local area. The situation may be developing in a good direction in the past two years. In fact, these are more macro-level issues. It is the people living in this land who are really affected, confused, anxious or longing... I felt these deeply in the years before I left my hometown more than three years ago. , I still feel these things every time I go home for more than three years.
There is a sentence in the film that I sigh the most, "a city that is more than 2,000 years old will be gone in two years." I was on the phone with my family the day before yesterday. My family is busy with the final preparations for moving. Maybe they will move to a new city after the winter vacation. Mom said that the old city is now in a mess, and the places I once walked, the sights that I am familiar with, will disappear forever under the water. Hearing this makes me sad. The new city has wider squares and avenues, taller buildings, more prosperous shopping malls, and more beautiful parks, but for me, who is hard to go back, the only ones that can really stay in my memory are the past. Those scenes, such as the yellow juniper tree clinging to the ancient city wall, the steamed buns at the city gate, the hemp flowers outside the west gate, and the alley that I pass through every day to go to school... everything is gone.
I was a little excited, and I typed this text in an incoherent manner. Maybe no one would understand my mood at this time. sigh
