I'm a nice guy, too.

If I remember correctly, the English name of Sanxia Good People should be still life instead of still life. However, whether it is the expression of the English name or the Chinese name, it can reflect the meaning of the film.
I went to the Centennial Lecture Hall to see its early screening in Beijing, and to witness Jia Zhangke and the Golden Lion trophy. The reaction of the film is conceivable, but I have never felt a sense of excitement and passion. Because it is not a visual feast like the Golden Armor, nor is it a tragic story like a father and son. He just literally described something that happened in our day but is not well known to us. Just because its motives are too simple and pure.
I haven't seen a movie that resonates with the author for a long time. When I really appreciate a director's intentions and his heart-to-heart communication, it's a feeling I can't let go of for a long time. I think my movie reserves are not enough, but I believe there are many such movies. I remember the last one should be the deep sea sleep. But I didn't record my thoughts at that time, I just recalled it for a long time, and then deeply digested it. The Three Gorges Good Man is different, because the director reminded us after the film that we "can't forget". He said that he was still filming in Fengjie in May, it was only a few months, and now watching his own movie, the scene at that time was very unfamiliar. It's an unacceptable reality, but it's true. My resonance arises from my reflections on my long life in the hospital a few months ago...
Last week, in a religious class, the teacher mentioned that people's impetuous attitude towards life, too rich material supply has blinded us s eyes. What exactly do we really need? Are those dispensable things already causing too much wasted energy and time? Can people living at the highest level of Maslow's needs still experience the sufferings of the movies? Helpless smile, no need to explain too much.
Of course, no one has the right to ask others not to pursue their own high-quality and beautiful life. The blissful world in Buddhism is also such a yearning. I can only say that as the title says, the Three Gorges talents are willing and able to understand and reveal such a social status quo. Only "good people" bravely stand in the material age and make such films firmly.

I'm still an original actor, but after watching Jia's previous movies, I have some doubts about the way this actor uses it. Sometimes it is obvious that those amateur actors are "acting" in a play, which is inconsistent with the original intention of using them. Han Sanming's feeling here is much worse than in "Platform". But I still can't hide my love for this calm narrative style.

Surreal (or realistic to almost surreal): flying saucers, rockets, Liu Guanzhang, who play game consoles, and tightrope walkers. The "Three Gorges" as a symbol shows the absurdity of Chinese society, and the natural landscape has become a "home that cannot be returned." Compared with the past works that focused on the environment's repression of the individual and no way out, this time gave Han Sanming and Shen Hong a higher momentum, although the future will be on the steel cable. The relationship between Lin Chong Ye Ben and Han Sanming in Sichuan Opera (opening and ending paragraphs).
