the end of failure

Before watching the movie, I thought this movie would make enough tears, but in fact the tone of the whole movie is low and calm. There is no "moving plot" specially made. So I have to tell myself that this is a good film, but at the end, when Rabe left Nanjing, there was a crowd of people saying goodbye at the wharf, holding signs and applauding and saying goodbye. The camera even gave a close-up of a smiling middle-aged woman. I don't know if there is such a scene of seeing off in history, but I believe that after the massacre, even if there is a crowd to see off because of gratitude, the atmosphere will never be like that. It should be dignified, lost, and grateful. . . So at the end I think the impression of the movie is suddenly reversed, giving people an unreal feeling.
