There is no moving and shocking, it feels like it is someone else's business. It has nothing to do with us except that it was the Chinese who were slaughtered. That final parting felt like the happy ending of any American blockbuster.
Foreigners can't understand that kind of pain. They put themselves in a position similar to that of God. Perhaps the reason why "Schindler's List" is touching is that it was made by the Jews themselves.
The last feeling is that people need to save themselves, and others cannot save you. This is true for individuals, and even more so for a nation.
