It's been a long time since a movie pursued "real history" this way. From "Heroes" to "Golden Armor" to "Painted Skin," movies are increasingly focused on how to attract the box office rather than history. The upper part "Chibi" makes people laugh and laugh, and the lower part "Red Cliff" makes a lot of money by virtue of "remarkable words". The director will make up the story, who cares about history?
There is always an exception to everything. Only the history of the Nanjing Massacre has made the hearts of the Chinese people bleed and never recovered. In the forum, every time someone touches this topic, it will not take a moment for thousands of people to click to reply. Under the strong propaganda of "Nanjing Nanjing", I unfortunately went into the theater to watch it. Originally had high expectations, but was extremely disappointed after seeing it.
As far as personal patriotism is concerned, thousands of netizens have already greeted Lu Chuan for me, so there is no need to repeat them here. If we look back on this history objectively, then "Nanjing" needs to correct its mentality and look directly at the problems it has been trying to ignore and distort:
1. The attitude and mentality of the massacres of the
Japanese army after the fall of Nanjing on December 13, 1937. During the month, more than 300,000 people were killed in the mass looting, rape and massacre of prisoners of war and civilians in Nanjing and surrounding areas. The cruelty of the Japanese army's various slaughter methods against the Chinese is far more than the few scenes shown in the movie. Not to mention the "unbearable" and "complete" of the fictional character "Kadokawa" from beginning to end, to the final "release" and "discovery of conscience", if every Japanese soldier is like this, why did this massacre last for more than half a year? Why is Japan still refusing to admit mistakes?
2.
Survivors of the Chinese Survivors in Nanjing did not survive because of the conscience of the "Jiaochuan" people, and none of them could laugh as happily as "Xiaodouzi".
There is a very important history, which is minimized to the extreme in "Nanjing Nanjing" -
the establishment and existence of the "Nanjing Safety Zone" saved more than 200,000 Chinese people. At the same time, international friends in the Nanjing Security Zone recorded the heinous crimes of the Japanese army with pen, paper and photos, providing strong evidence for the final trial of the crimes of the Japanese army. If it weren't for the survivor's oral statement, if there was no such important information as irrefutable evidence, the Japanese would have made up more "innocence" excuses to clear their guilt.
3. What is the "Nanjing Safety Zone"?
In November 1937, in order to minimize the harm caused by the war to civilians, according to the precedent of setting up a refugee zone in Nanshi, Shanghai to take in refugees, Hang Liwu, then chairman of the board of directors of Jinling University, proposed to invite Americans and people who served in various mission schools in Nanjing to gather together. A small number of Anglo-German businessmen, about 20 people, decided to set up an international relief agency, named "Nanjing Safety Zone International Committee". The purpose was to provide refugees who were not evacuated with a place to hide and avoid Japanese bombing at the most critical time. The committee recommended Rabe of Siemens & Co. as the chairman, Professor Shimeis of Jinling University as the secretary, Hang Liwu as the director general, and American Feige as the deputy secretary.
Rabe and other members of the International Committee of the Safe Zone saved more than 200,000 lives in the war, relying on this safe zone, which at the time accounted for 1/8 of the city's total area. This safe area is also the only "Green Island" in Nanjing that has not been attacked by fire. Before the Japanese bombed the city of Nanjing, Rabe rushed to Shanghai and handed over the map of Nanjing with the location of the safe zone to the Japanese military, telling them that the war should not spread here. In the end, the safe area of Nanjing escaped the air raids of the Japanese army, and was not harmed by the arson after the Japanese army entered the city. Jinling University (now Nanjing University), Jinling Women's College of Arts and Sciences (now Nanjing Normal University) and other modern excellent buildings were spared the fire; hundreds of private small foreign-style buildings in the area of Ninghai Road and Yihe Road were preserved because they were in a safe area . Today, many of these buildings have been included in the scope of cultural relics protection.
4. Is Rabe just a small character?
"I actually did a lot of research on Rabe and Rabe's diary. It can be said that he used his special identity to save the lives of many Chinese people during a special period." - Zhu Chengshan, director of the Nanjing Massacre Memorial Museum,
John • Mr. Rabe's 30 years in China were also the most turbulent years in China. When he recorded the suffering of the Chinese people in his diary, his feelings for China also sublimated from caring for factory employees to all ordinary people.
Rabe rescued hundreds of Chinese refugees with a huge Nazi flag as Japanese bombers began to ravage Nanjing recklessly. There's something about this scenario. No one could have imagined that when European countries were being poisoned by the German Nazis, a German in the distant China was doing the exact opposite.
Rabe's later years were extremely bleak. After he returned to China, he was persecuted by the Gestapo. Germany and Japan were allies in World War II, so Hitler naturally couldn't allow Rabe to tell the truth. After the end of World War II, Rabe was censored again because of his former membership in the Nazi party, and Rabe, who was troubled everywhere in his life, was almost in desperation. At the most difficult time in Rabe's life, it was the citizens of Nanjing who repaid Rabe. Although they were thousands of miles away, they still saved thousands of dollars for Rabe's living expenses, and sent them to Rabe by a special person. This kind of gratitude The true love in the world is undoubtedly the strongest contrast with the bestiality of the Nanjing Massacre.
There is no other country whose people are as persevering as the Chinese people. No people in a country are as tolerant and optimistic as the Chinese people. After thousands of wars, China still retains the culture and wisdom that the world has admired so far. One of the most important things for the Chinese nation to survive to this day is to know how to be grateful. The Chinese have experienced no less suffering than the Jews. Why did Schindler, who saved more than 1,000 people, move the world, but the Chinese have long forgotten Rabe? After he was forgotten for so many years, Europeans brought his story to the big screen. (Unfortunately, the film about Rabe was not made by Chinese people.) Chinese people should not forget their sufferings, let alone their benefactors. Only in suffering can we draw strength, and only after gratitude can we gain new life.
