The nostalgic 20th anniversary work makes me feel a little embarrassed

People who like this work very much may think that I am black, so they may not need to read further. But if you feel a little bit in the same mood as me, please read on.

Let’s start with the conclusion. My biggest feeling when I watch this work is that it’s embarrassing. Wave after wave of embarrassment, I did not expect the climax of the plot, and the embarrassment also reached a climax.

My background: As an ordinary Pokémon fan, I bought a 3DS to play XY/Sun and Moon after I arrived in Japan, and passed the NDS-era version of the game by the way. For animation, like everyone else, I watched TV in my childhood, but it was a pity that it stopped broadcasting later. It was not until the university XY came out that I started to make up from the super era, and I saw the latest in one breath. Now, although Alora began to complain about her style of painting and "little mental retardation", she still looked very cheerful later. As for the theatrical version, that is, I watched Lugia's explosion as a child. It was not until I arrived in Japan that I finally had the opportunity to watch the theatrical version in the cinema. Since I haven't watched a lot of theatrical versions, I may not have the qualifications to comment, but I watched M19 "Polkenyon and the Organ Doll Mayana" last year, and I was very satisfied.

With anticipation for "Behind the Scenes of Ten Thousand Years" Hoo and the 20th anniversary, I came to the cinema on the second day of its release this year.

At the beginning, the encounter between Xiaozhi and Pishen was almost the same as the TV unprinted version. It can be said that it is a high-definition remake. Anyone who has watched the first episode knows that Xiao Zhi and Pishen had a bad relationship at first, and then Pishen was tortured and finally fought together. Suddenly I feel a little embarrassed, maybe because I see Pishen being abused, I don't really want to recall this paragraph. Some details have been changed, it is not important, after all, I am watching the story of the king of wind. When "めざせポケモンマスター-20th Anniversary- (the goal is the 20th anniversary of Pokémon Master)" sounded, I was moved and ignited.

It may be necessary for the plot, Xiaoxia and Xiaogang did not appear, and naturally there is no classic scene of "bicycle destruction".

The two sections from Green Caterpillar to Ba Dahu and Xiaohuolong to Fire-breathing Dragon are condensed according to the needs of the plot, but they can also be regarded as authentic "memory killings". Although the ending can be expected, I still feel a little embarrassed when I see that Ba Dahu and Xiaohuolong are abandoned, the old master is abused, and the old master is turned over again (a bit like the episode of Zhenji and Xiaohuomon from Diamond) Bar. Maybe because it is too cruel, but I have to watch it again, I feel more embarrassed than moved.

In the final climax, for some reasons, before the battle of Phoenix King, Xiaozhi and Pishen encountered the biggest difficulty. Attacked by many evil Pokémon, in order to protect the injured Pishen, Ash used his body blocking skills to send Pishin into the Poké Ball. But this time it wasn't so lucky, Xiaozhi was wiped out, and Pishen who scored a goal escaped (this is in contrast to Pishen who always doesn't score). At this time, the title of the film can be called "The Disappearance of Xiaozhi"... Of course, under the affectionate call of Pishen, Xiaozhi returned to the world. But here comes the whole theatrical version, which I think is the most embarrassing scene - Pishen called Xiao Zhi, and he actually spoke human words! (???) Of course, in Japanese, it means always by your side. At this point, my embarrassment reached its peak. The young lady watching the movie next to her laughed out loud. At this moment, I no longer have any expectations for the following plot, I just want to leave the scene earlier. I think it might be better to replace it with "Pikapi" + subtitles (always beside you), but the skin god who speaks really makes me a little bit unbearable. There was a great god who "analyzed" the Pishen language, that is, "Pikapi, Pikachu, Pikachupi", etc., corresponding to some of the main character names of Muji, and Xiaozhi is "Pikapi". At this time, even if you use "Pikapi" + "Pishen language" with BGM and subtitles, everyone can feel the mood of Pishen, but Pishen has spoken... Forgive me, I can't accept it, maybe this work is really not for I watched it, I just felt embarrassed, nothing else.

The plot behind it is also boring. Recalling Xiaozhi, Pishen and Hoo fight, the plot is coming to an end. Because the most important thing is Ash and Pishen, and the bond with other Pokémon and traveling companions. In the ED, there are standing pictures of all the traveling companions from Muji to XY, which can be regarded as moving.

Speaking of which (maybe no one has seen it here), everyone must think that I am crazy about this work. I think it may be because I have been paying attention to Pokemon, so I am familiar with the plot, and I hope this work will bring me something new. But in fact, this work can be said to be nostalgic. It connects the Muji plot with Feng Wang, and gives some people who have been away from the Pokémon world for many years a chance to reminisce. It is true that this is the story of Ash and Pikachu and many other friends, but I still felt a little helpless to put old wine in a new bottle, so I felt embarrassed. Maybe what I'm looking forward to is a 20-year grand offering and big news. The original intention of this work is to make people return to their original intentions and bring inspiration. And one of the few things that touched me was the companions who traveled together in the 20th anniversary OP and ED.

Finally, I'm still looking forward to Ash's adventure and the next theatrical version. Because, I also want to travel with my friends.
