Everything is just right The Biggest Little Farm 12/29/2019
It is a very warm and hopeful story, but the beginning and end of the film cast a shadow over it: no matter how good the small environment of the farm is, it is still fragile, not only because of the difficulty of achieving and maintaining ecological balance, but also because of the environment in which it is located. Bad environment (wildfires in California). The success of small farms over the past 8 years shows that we are not hard to come back, but it is still unknown whether the successful model of such farms can be attributed, summarized and promoted. But this is a valuable start after all.
It must be super stressful for a family to make such a decision and invest so many resources and funds. Two people have idealism, but also have a practical spirit. The reliance/trust of mentor Alan and his sudden departure brought a lot of disruption to the couple, but to a certain extent, it also exposed the lack of preparation of the two (why did not ask Alan for referral), fortunately, the good foundation has been Lay down, the farm also has some room for error. Seeing that Alan's vision has finally become a reality, the host has also learned to observe carefully and skillfully use the balance of nature, so that the farm will gradually improve, withstand various tests, and become a self-contained body.
The footage of the movie is beautiful, and the animals on the farm are cute. The narration is more objective and restrained, and everything is just right.
What a lifetime like this~
