more than just bystanders of war

After watching so many movies, I found that I still like war movies the most. Different from general war films, the characters in this film are more complex. The focus is on the North Koreans on Gunkanjima. In the war, some people made huge fortunes and sold their own clan; some took advantage of the aggressor's power to oppress their own clan; Join the Rong and save the country in peril. The self-proclaimed righteous "sir" is actually a traitor who pockets the wages of labor, and the labor chief who worked hard for the Japanese tried every means to oppress his own people. The evil is not only in the invaders, but in human nature. The Japanese schoolgirls who were killed, the Koreans in Japan who were killed by the atomic bombs, the war is complete destruction for everyone. There are two highlights in the film: First, the editing of the male protagonist and his party when they first landed on the island. In the cheerful music, the Japanese banquet and the miserable and dignified life of the North Korean laborers are mixed together, and the conflict and contrast are strong. Second, at the end, the little girl looks away to the camera again, breaking the barrier between the movie and the viewer. We have become a part of it from watching the war. Everyone in the story seems to be related to us. related. Compared with the profound display of war in Korean films, our film still stays in Wei Guangzheng's promotion of heroism. But has China ever been short of stories and storytellers? Perhaps what we lack is the space and freedom to tell a story. ps. The part of the film about escaping the ship is a little too idealistic, and Song Joong Ki's role is also a little too upright, but "I will execute you in the name of treason" is still too handsome to make sense.
