For idealists, dreams may be the only reason to support survival. And Angle's dream is to leave this painful and wandering place to find the freedom that everyone yearns for - New York. In New York, he might not have tinnitus anymore, he wouldn't have to rob banks, the whole world belonged to him and Nene.
Nene is looking for love. He abandoned his superior family background and became a prodigal who betrayed his relatives. Perhaps only he himself knew why he embarked on this self-defeating path. He was bohemian, he was desperate, until he met the Angle he fell in love with.
Nene loved so much, but Angle was terrified, because in his faith he couldn't find a reason for such love. He's like a child, with clear eyes, but doesn't know how to deal with things he can't understand, so he instinctively refuses, and clings to his New York fantasies.
