Except Mom, everyone loves me

Here's the thing.

The first time I saw this director's work was around January or February 2020, and the title was "I Killed My Mom". The second is this movie. I have watched two films in total, and I don't quite understand the director's work style, but after watching Killing Mom, one thing I understand is: "It shouldn't be the style I like".

It doesn't matter, the point is, I don't know why I have been forced to contact frequently on social networks before watching the film, so that the director's position in my mind was actually, Internet celebrity? Some gay-related chasing pretty boys everywhere? Although you don't pay attention to him, due to the similarity of the activity trajectories, his various activities are often recommended with high frequency. So for a few years, you ignored such an internet celebrity Gay, until one day you finally saw another director recommend killing your mother.

Even the preview of this two-horse biography has been crossed countless times, because I feel that I don't know what I am talking about and it looks boring again.

So in fact, the process of watching these two films is a bit subtle. It seems that the actor participating in too many variety shows will affect his performance in the future. To me, there is a kind of reality show that extends to the movie.

It's okay to kill my mother. After all, the film was made more than ten years ago. The director and starring's appearance in the film is still different from the social profile I have seen, and it is basically not a drama. The Legend of Two Horses will not work, I only feel that he is playing himself throughout the whole process, and even a little embarrassed at one point (for some reason).

The viewing process of Killing Mom is not painful, just forget it after watching it. Just remember him fighting with his mother. As a youth film, it is not youthful in my opinion. Although the protagonist (if I remember correctly) is a 16-year-old high school student, it does not show the rebellious confusion and family relationships of a teenager high school student, but what I see is a relationship between two very independent adults. Discussing mutual relationships is the same as discussing any relationship that somehow doesn't last long but can't be given up. The venerable order between parents and children is weakened, and it discusses an unsolved proposition about "connection" that does not disappear with the end of adolescence and so-called maturity.

So more than ten years later, he is still arguing with that mother. Even arguing becomes boring.

But this time the focus is not on mothers and quarrels. It is about the beautiful story of director, screenwriter, costume stylist and starring Lan.

After letting go of the struggle and accepting the fact that he was playing himself, the film looked easy. The whole process was very peaceful. It was like two hours of quiet escape from the hustle and bustle of the world. I am grateful.

The whole plot is beautiful, and everywhere reflects the classic elements of Japanese BL, such as tame dyeing, games, betting, booing, doubles, fake dramas, and so on.

After watching it, I thought that Matt hid Max's recommendation letter at the beginning of the film. At the latest, after Maas said, "I'm not coming back for Christmas." Matt was very nervous from the beginning (I don't know if it was a problem with the character setting or the actor's performance), and the whole person was like an arrow stretched on the string to shoot. Accidental injection into the rectum. Tension means hiding.

Shuangma got together with the group of friends, and one friend asked Mas to smoke too. Everyone didn't say anything yet, and Matt was anxious first. Here I see very strange. After all, at this time, I didn't know that Maas had taken drugs. I thought that you are too lenient, you are not so ferocious and hurried like someone is trying to harm him.

Then they're about to kiss.

The buddy who asked Shuangma "Have you kissed?" is really stealing the spotlight. What's wrong with him, the attitude of the King of Hell torturing Mrs. Xu Xianbai. One of the horses said: When washing dishes? no? What a spiritual answer. That is to say, when I don't wash the dishes, I don't know what shady things I've done. The atmosphere without a kiss was already very strange. When they were sitting in a row by the lake, who would not have said that they had been married for many years.

The group of friends from Shuangma, placed in BL Riman, is also a rare all-round assist. Not only did I witness the high school kissing incident, but I also relished the memories and thought of words for the parties involved: It’s hard to say that I have a kiss with Maas and I will never forget it, hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.

Brotherly love, touching.

According to the countdown subtitles and the official synopsis of the film, it is roughly inferred that the time when Matt hid the letter occurred after the kiss in the play. This will make the kissing part a trigger point for the plot, and at the same time, it seems to weaken the characters' undercurrent emotions. It is very BL Japanese and not so French.

After the kiss, Matt couldn't sleep for a song and was paralyzed. I looked tired for him, and liked it to death, he didn't know it yet, or pretended not to know.

His girlfriend asked him to go to the party, and it was for his own good. Can you see that when someone leaves? This is good for Matt, the plot in his own mind still stays in the filming that night and the kiss is endless. His girlfriend, Wan-faced, probably thought that he was under a lot of pressure at work to accompany guests.

Lan said that the ending of the film was originally two people in the same car, but the effect of implying that they were together was too obvious, so it was changed to the version I see now, and I thought it would be better to use this open ending. We don't know if they will be together, but they must still be friends.

Isn't it, Ran? The ending is like that, is it still open?

That Matt, who used to laugh at Maus (whether true or not) from a place where Maus could not see it, is now laughing in front of others. Isn't this kind of rocket-launching progress called HE? Kiss and hug and raise the high-caliber HE? In the gay films I've seen so far, the two protagonists appear at the same time at the beginning and end of the film , and there is only Lan's biography of two horses. That's not enough HE?

That night Matt went into the utility room with a bottle of wine and the backhand was a locked door. Did he want to go in and be friends with Maas? ? To be a friend with a wine bottle banging on the forehead? ? I scolded you, hit me, kill the friend who doesn't fight back? ?

Sagittarius didn't beg him, and when he went in, he hugged and kissed them. The ink face that I scolded myself kissed. What kind of friend is this to be, my blue sky master. It's still possible to continue being friends without the utility room plot. Come all come.

We don't know where they will do it, but they will do it.

Although this film is not about him and his mother, it is actually him and his mother. Everyone is his mother, and the halo of maternal love surrounds him. Except for my mother. Ma Baonan Quebec publicity ambassador Duran Ziweier.

That curly-haired boy is the No. 1 mom. Really, who doesn't want a mom like that. Mas was still eating his fingers at the dinner table, and the curly-haired brother beat him down with one hand. I was stunned by such a shitty operation.

After Matt scolded Mas for his ink face, the curly-haired brother pushed Matt and finally kicked him. At least one of these two strokes was for Mas.

Finally Maas was leaving, and the curly-haired brother said, "I'm going to buy coffee and then we'll go to the airport." Cried. Mom can't say that. The innocence and unparalleled maternal love of the curly-haired brother.

There is also Ma Si, who was smashed in the head by his own mother, and a big breasted lady who is taking medicine and changing clothes. She is as gentle as a mother in a fairy tale. Not to mention other aunts antie all kinds of passers-by. But there is no one who does not love Maas. Including the wretched young man on the bus and the little boy on the bus who borrowed his shoulders.

I didn't understand it before, just waiting for a traffic light, why punk-rock(?) passersby are also staring at him. People may just be thinking: Hey, do you want to be a son? I am a mother.

It's a pity that the inspector played by Harris didn't have a chance to see Maas, otherwise another member of the team will join the luxury package of the mother group.

Although he can't be a mother, this role is absolutely necessary to exist. But it doesn't matter who plays. [Harris met Lan and wondered if he said "I grew up watching your movies".

The purpose of this role is to add trouble and excuses to the process of Matt meeting Maas. Without the character, how much drama would have been lost on Matt's personal line, and the diminished plot involving Matt and his mother and girlfriend. He even catalyzed Matt to recognize himself to some extent. The series of performances of the inspector just before he was about to go offline, although bizarre, was definitely pushing Matt towards Maas, in a double sense.

At this moment, Ma Si was standing on the street where the night lights were flickering. He looked up and saw his mother and brother who were laughing and dancing in the building. Lu Binghua was in tears. Happiness is yours, I don't deserve it.

"If she wasn't my mom, maybe we'd get along just fine" and "If she wasn't my mom, she'd be the kind of person I hate the most" is the same thing.

He was just arguing with the title "Mom". Also just begging for a link to this title. It is expected that the person with this title will love him like other mothers, but the title is just the title, and you don't necessarily have to ask yourself to inject emotion into the title. Just as good parents are not necessarily good couples, it is not easy for independent individuals to develop emotional connections. It's just that "we were taught to idealize our parents since we were young." Mutual love between parents and children is taken as a matter of course, but everyone is just ordinary unrelated people. Especially some parents are not worthy of being idealized.

But for Maas, it is too cruel to face the fact that my mother doesn't love me and I don't love my mother. After all, no one dares to look directly at life without a mother. Perhaps the same is true for Lan herself. Otherwise, he wouldn't kill his mother over and over again in the movie for ten years.

I also thought before that one day when there is no mother in his movie, it will be the real killing of the mother, so that there may be visible progress with the naked eye. (Why do you ask others to make progress?) Later, I thought, if there is really no more, what is the purpose of making movies. Or has he been detached?

Every time I see someone complaining about Lan's directing ability, that he is the highlight of his debut, and that he has made no progress in Cannes many times, I feel wronged and angry for him. Don't his acting skills deserve to be criticized? Um? my orchid? (I love him)

It can be said that the whole film makes me think that Lan still has acting skills only at that moment of the watchtower. He only revealed his true feelings when he was really obsessed with the concept of "mother". The other parts are using acting to prove that he is a director.

I hope that one day I can see Ran, the main character trained by other directors, in other blockbusters.

In addition, there are some plot arrangements that are not convincing but very important in the film. For example, in the seven-year-old painting that has been preserved to the present, the "just kept" component always looks larger than the "deliberately preserved" component. Friends who have known each other since childhood and are still in contact with each other have a few childhood marks of each other. He doesn't seem to be hurt because he wants to leave, because you Lan's performance is "Why do you still keep things from decades ago, kuso?" The surprise is heart-wrenching.

And there's a good chance that Matt himself didn't even see/receive the blocked recommendation letter. Mail goes directly into the trash, emptying the trash, and reading multiple emails are all high-probability events, but your thinking is more retro, only "Matt must have seen it and deliberately suppressed it and didn't forward it", I was moved Can't be better.

If the background is in the days when information was transmitted in paper letters, the credibility is much higher and there will be visible "evidence" of finding the letter in Matt, so I don't care if you cry. But at the same time, the complexity of the script is doubled, which may not be very friendly to the screenwriter.

In the utility room, when everyone was sighing about the hot romance, I was thinking, how did he get up there. Matt took off his pants and ran away, but Mas didn't chase him out. Except for the plot development and the character setting, the platform was too high. At least Lan had to step on a small bench or be carried down by someone.

Even so, this movie seems easy to me because it opens up a new idea for me that "a teahouse environment where many people gather is also loving". It can be said that it has subverted the concept that I have always believed that "the weak is the blessing". At a certain moment, there was even a deformed idea of "it seems very happy to get together with a lot of acquaintances and quarrel to split up the family property". It can be concluded that these positive thinking content should all come from the creator's real experience and real perception. It hits the heart more than any violently designed dramatic conflict.

If there is any difficulty in this film, the difficulty is that I can't have as many loving motherly friends who love me as the protagonist in the film.

In the part where the movie is all about the aftertaste, the aftertaste of "The Legend of Two Horses" is far longer for me than "Killing Mom". The latter has no aftertaste to me. I can't even get any emotional feedback on the painting sex(?) that all pros and non-pros relish. The whole film doesn't seem to exist, I just heard people say it.

This may be due to the fact that there is only one mother among the murdered mothers, and both of them are mothers. "A man's worst nightmare is that the enemy is your family." Mom doesn't matter, love is the most important thing.

In the end, there are two things I don't understand.

One is that Matt by the lake said a box in front of Maas, "are you ready for your close-up?"

Two, was the last thing Matt said to the inspector, asking what his name was.

[Things are like this. I wrote a thousand words four months ago, but the content was lost a few days ago, and my mentality collapsed, and it was a bit long-winded.
