The order of the resources found was out of order, and it was reversed, turning the first "Hand" into the third. Soderbergh made me sleepy, so I watched it twice.
All three are very good. This is written for myself, with no logic or connotation to explain the reason for the feeling I get. If anyone happens to see it, that would be a shame on me.
① "Dangerous Tipping Point"
It is only after reading the explanations of many great gods in the comment area that I know that this is a story of the separation of love and desire. I didn't see this intuitively, and I didn't realize that Chloe and the male lead were a long-term couple.
From the beginning and end of the film, it can be seen that the two are a couple, or a couple who deeply love each other. Despite the constant quarrel, the two still care about each other. Chloe has an "incorrigible" romantic feeling, while the male protagonist is relatively realistic, or confuses reality and romance.
I love that Chloe said "I hate sadness, so I sometimes laugh for no reason." The hero says then you can laugh. Chloe froze for a moment, then burst out laughing. Here, I can barely glimpse the way they get along when they are in love.
While in the restaurant, Chloe remembered the girl on the horse, which meant that Linda was the girl who lived in the tower. I guess at the end Chloe was putting his horses on the grass over the beach, with Linda's influence. At the same time, the male protagonist ran to the tower to find Linda, which was also because of Chloe's introduction. It can be seen that the objects or characteristics that will attract the two are the same.
The male protagonist is Linda who is looking for sex, but he doesn't want to have sex that much. Linda hinted on the rooftop that she felt cold, and then happily went downstairs, as if expecting the male protagonist to follow him impatiently. But the hero didn't. He watched the scenery for a while, and then slowly went downstairs. When they said goodbye, he kissed Linda's ringed foot. There is no Linda in the whole picture. Like a dragonfly, the male protagonist left.
The next two nude dances were too shocking. For the first time I really discovered the beauty of the female body, contrary to my notion of obscenity. In fact, at the restaurant, I was wondering if the two of them would have an affair.
What I never understood was that the couple went to a water pool and met a girl singing. I'm curious about the girl, she shouldn't be Linda, I even think she might be Chloe.
②《Balance》
The first time I saw it, I slept soundly. Also slept twice.
The first scene was amazing. The girl in blue was in the bathtub, sitting and standing, and then a silhouette, charming and beautiful. The shaking camera looks like the male protagonist has just woken up, and his sleepy eyes are dimly observing the source of the sound. We know that this blue room is a dream.
The black and white part is said to be a dream, but more like a subconscious mind. The psychotherapist's room is modeled after Nick's real-life office. So there is a sense of imbalance in the layout. The furniture on the side of the window is loose, like a treatment room. On the other side are full bookcases and a somewhat cluttered desk. And the therapist mentioned his own name: Nick. In the color office clip that follows, we know that the male protagonist's name is also Nick. In a short film with so few characters, it is unlikely that there will be duplicate names.
Then the therapist coaxed Nick to review the dream and change the dream, but he looked out the window with the binoculars, and opened the window to fly a paper airplane, gesticulating the body language of "drinking a drink". It's very inconsistent here. In modern society, there is no reason not to use a telephone, and to use such a naive name as a paper airplane. Not realistic.
Combined with the information he said when communicating with the therapist, Nick and his wife did not communicate well. I would like to interpret the behavior of the treatment room as Nick's desire to communicate. After that, the paper planes were photographed aimlessly flying towards the opposite building many times in a row, and they also dreamed of the girl in blue many times, and then the therapist many times. I think it might be the balance.
③《Hand》
I liked the first half very much, but in the second half there were too many elevators. I remembered the fear of being dominated by 100-character questions in the composition of junior high school and high school, and I didn't like it very much.
After meeting a mature courtesan, the young Xiao Zhang's love blossomed until he became mature. Mr. Zhang's dress is obviously like that of Mr. Zhao. Pity.
The down-and-out Miss Hua said that there was a big American customer who still missed her and said she was about to turn over. However, she did not wait for the gorgeous dress of the little tailor. After passing through the short stairs, the man she brought back was wearing an open white shirt, not a suit. Maybe she was abandoned by the last chance.
I still prefer the first half. It is probably also related to the Mary Sue romance novels I read recently, and I prefer the ruthless Sea King.
For the filming of Master Jin and Miss Hua on the phone, the sunglasses basically capture Master Jin's demeanor from the mirror, I didn't think it through.
