"Hand" is actually just one of the "God of Love". I only read the first of the other two, which is very Italian and very naturalistic.
"Hand", Wong Kar-wai told a very Wong Kar-wai's erotic story in a short film. The love at the beginning was built on desire: the little tailor Xiao Zhang took over the old master to tailor clothes at the courtesan lady, but because he heard the voice of the courtesan and her man making love, the young man couldn't control it. Live in oneself, was discovered by the courtesan played by Gong Li, and "trained" with his hands (God, what am I doing), this is the classic scene that was later teased by Xiao S and Cai Kangyong countless times, and the archaeology came to hahahaha. After the courtesan trained Xiao Zhang to cut her clothes for her own use, every time Xiao Zhang went to measure her clothes, she either heard her making love with other men or heard her flirting on the phone. This kind of lust can even be called sex Enlightenment (reminds me of the MV in Xu Guanghan's song, the poem I read at the beginning, it is mentioned that the young people of the soul are enlightened. The MV is super invincible and worth watching!) The love generated is full of masochistic pain, small Zhang probably couldn't stop in this ambiguous relationship between pain and love (and our audience couldn't stop), so the courtesan who came back leaned against Xiao Zhang's arms and held Xiao Zhang's waist up to his waist. The scene of imagining in cheongsam and giving Xiao Zhang by hand in front of the final courtesan bed is beautiful and tragic.
The story is as simple as that. Director Wong Kar Wai's shot quality is as good as ever. I saw Douyou before saying that he was afraid that Gong Li would not be able to act as a courtesan. Sure enough, Wong Kar Wai is also very good at picking actors. The music in the movie is also very clever, and it really is a perfect match for adding texture!
