Just when I was about to give up watching, the third story started, "wong kai wai" jumped out and attracted me to watch it for two reasons: 1. I like Wong Kar Wai, his way of expression, and his pictures. Second, as the so-called "like things gather together", directors who can juxtapose works with Wong Kar-wai and make movies probably have the same style as him. Wong Kar-wai's films are also very difficult to understand to Chinese audiences. There is nothing shameful about saying it, and similarly, there should be no shame in not understanding the films of the other two directors.
After watching Wong Kar Wai's film, I seem to really understand something. A prostitute and a little tailor, the prostitute's hands awakened the little tailor's sexual maturity, and also made him erect when he no longer sees a woman, so he can become a "tailor" with peace of mind. The prostitute was old and yellow, and finally she was left out in front of the door, and her living conditions were getting worse and worse. She moved from a luxurious apartment to a very ironic "Palace" hotel, but the "business" has to be done, but the customer's status is getting lower and lower, and finally dyed AIDS. The little tailor is now very successful, but he still can't forget the first woman who inspired him. Knowing that her life is getting worse, he still pays her rent, takes medicine and sees a doctor, even though she knows her poor living conditions, she still doesn't dislike her.
I remember the saying "Which boy is not in love, which girl is not in love". Prostitutes should no longer have sex, but the little tailor is still in love. This relationship seems absurd and puzzling. But four years in college, the biggest dogma I learned was this: Never analyze what you don't understand. Maybe the relationship doesn't need so much rational analysis, even if the analysis is penetrating, the most sensible way is to admit the authenticity of this relationship, and wish the deceased prostitute a good journey, and hope that the tailor's future love life will be smooth sailing.
