It's Hirokazu-eda's family and the world

During the period of staying at home during the epidemic, several films by Hirokazu Kore-eda were successively supplemented. "Walking On", "Deeper Than the Sea", "No One Knows", "Sea Street Diary", "Miracle". It is Hirokazu Kore-eda's elegant and restrained style of narrative. The film's presentation of the nuanced details of life makes the audience's viewing emotions very soothing. Through the story of a pair of families, the eternal theme in Hirokazu Kore-eda's films is the discussion of family relationships. What does family mean? Between parents and children, between husband and wife, between siblings, no matter how far apart they are, no matter how long they are separated, there is always a bond of affection that keeps the family together. I am immersed in the films of Hirokazu Koreeda, and the emotion of "closeness and closeness" among family members always touches me.

In "Miracle", when my brother saw the intersection of the Shinkansen, why did he suddenly become silent when he made a wish? Maybe he heard on the phone that his lively younger brother was having a good time with his new friends in Fukuoka, or maybe his father told him that he wanted him to "become someone who doesn't always stare at his own life, such as music or the world." So in the end, he let go of his obsession that he wanted a family of four to live together again, and let life continue on the track that everyone is happy now. When he explained to his brother why he didn't make a wish, he said, "I chose the world instead of home." Maybe at his age he still can't fully understand what the "world" is, but let the past be the past so that we can look forward to the unknown tomorrow.

What is "the world"? Maybe it's the light soup that Grandpa tried repeatedly, maybe it's the music that Dad pursues, maybe it's the pictures and dreams of girls, or maybe it's the broad bean seedlings that my brother planted. Home is our origin and destination, and the world may be our staggering journey. Even if we don’t see the end, we still look forward to a miracle (I wish).
