Another one is Hirokazu Kore, who was made to cry again. I don't know how I can be so easily moved by the tenderness and beauty in these small bits of life.
A group of innocent children, a group of children with their own wishes and worries, a group of children who are loved and respected by adults, have been planning for a long time for miracles to see the passing Shinkansen. A childhood wish is so beautiful because at that time we believed it would come true. There are also many wishes today, but no longer praying for miracles. The two brothers are really cute, with completely different personalities, but they are equally naive, sensible, and loving. For a child, it is not so easy to give someone else the chance to realize his wish, but the journey to the Shinkansen changed the minds of the two brothers, or just helped them see their hearts clearly. When making a wish, the elder brother chose the "world" that his father had mentioned to him, and chose for more people. The younger brother hoped that his father would make the music of his dreams. The elder brother should be afraid of losing it. He has always wanted to make sure that his younger brother and father have not forgotten him. In the end, he found that he has never forgotten and will always be in their hearts.
Of course, the goodness of the movie is not only in the story of the children, in fact, each main character faces his own life dilemma or confusion. Dad struggled between life and ideals, and finally chose to give up the life he once pursued for the ideal; after the beating of life, mother chose to give up father who was bohemian and loved freedom; my grandfather longed to make something that was once popular and now has no one to eat. The snack proves that that thing is still delicious; Kyoko doesn't know what she has experienced, she has given up her dream when she was young and will not mention it again; the old couple is guarding the big house but can't see their daughter whom she misses. Their lives seem so difficult, but they are still releasing goodwill.
Talk about the wishes of the children. Ryunosuke and Hangichi hope that their family will be reunited and go back to the good old days; one of his brother's friends, one hopes that his dog will be resurrected, and is even willing to give up his baseball dream for the resurrection of his dog; one dreams of marrying everyone in his life. He thinks of beautiful women, such as his teacher and the female school doctor, but in the end he made a wish that his father would stop gambling. My brother's friend, one is determined to become an actor, one is obsessed with becoming a painter with a drawing book every day, and another has a fat sister whose dream is so simple that she just wants to run faster. Their wishes are so simple, and the way they treat their wishes is so serious and lovely, it's hard not to recall those dreams when you were a child, where did they all go.
A healing movie, although it was made to commemorate the Shinkansen, it is quite Hirokazu Koreeda, and it belongs to a style and theme like "Deeper than the Sea". The next one is still about Zhi Lu and "The Thief's Family".
