Eighteen years ago, there was a movie that failed miserably at the box office after it was released, but it became an overnight hit two years after its release, and people talked about it. Until now, in 2013, people can still hear people talking about it, and it is regarded as a classic and never gets tired of reading it. He is "Journey to the West". In contemporary fashion, "Journey to the West" is a time-travel drama that spans five hundred years and tells the story of how a man could not escape the palm of his fate. First of all, let us analyze the relationship between the characters and the problem of crossing:
At the beginning of the movie, we learn that Tang Sanzang voluntarily sacrificed his life to save Sun Wukong. Ancestor Bodhi also said that after the incident, the Jade Emperor was also moved and agreed to let Sun Wukong reincarnate and rewrite history.
So, the original history was that Tang Sanzang died and could no longer go to the West to learn scriptures. But after the above-mentioned battle, after the approval of the Jade Emperor, he let Sun Wukong reincarnate and rewrite history. So history will become - Monkey King saves Tang Seng and continues to complete the mission of learning scriptures from the West.
The key to rewriting history is the supreme treasure and moonlight treasure box played by Stephen Chow.
The following is the process of rewriting history: "The gang leader after five hundred years" used the moonlight treasure box to meet "five hundred years ago" and became the "Supreme Treasure". At this time, the Supreme Treasure is the quasi-Monkey King. The first point is: The Supreme Treasure was hit by Tang Seng's cane, and the moonlight treasure box in his hand flew out for Tang Seng to pass through. So, Tang Seng, who originally killed himself, did not die. History has changed. The Tang Seng who traveled through came to the same time and space as the Supreme Treasure, and was captured by the Bull Demon King together with Zixia and Qingxia. Here is a key point: When the Supreme Treasure and Zixia were in the market, they were seen by Sha Seng and Bajie. From their conversation, it was known that Tang Seng had already been captured at this time. According to the time routine of the Supreme Treasure, he and Tang Seng will not be captured together until that night. Then when Zixia was forced to marry, Supreme Treasure met Thirty Mothers who had not yet become immortals. Thirty mothers killed the Supreme Treasure, and at this time, Sun Wukong was truly reincarnated. Then Sun Wukong went to the scene of the bull demon king's marriage, and finally used the moonlight treasure box to travel with Tang Seng, Bajie and others to a certain point in time.
At the end of the film, it can be seen that Wukong and others finally landed in the "Bodhi Cave". And that Jianghu Warlock introduced: "Bodhi Cave" was "Water Curtain Cave" five hundred years ago. Sun Wukong fought the Bull Demon King in "Water Curtain Cave", rescued Tang Seng, and finally successfully obtained the Western Classic. But the second part of the film clearly tells us that "Supreme Treasure" travels back to "five hundred years ago" and encounters Zixia who changed "Water Curtain Cave" to "Pansi Cave". The first part of the film "Five hundred years ago" "This place is also a Pansi Cave. We can conclude that the "true history" is -- "Water Curtain Cave" five hundred years ago, and "Bodhi Cave" five hundred years later. Therefore, it can be concluded that five hundred years ago, when the Supreme Treasure was located in the "Pansi Cave", and five hundred years after the "Pansi Cave" where the gang leader was located, it is a story of another time and space. They are all born to "rewrite history". And at the end of the film, didn't Wukong and others set off from "Bodhi Cave" to continue to study scriptures? Here, together with the previous point about "the time when Tang Seng traveled through and was captured by the Bull Demon King", it can be concluded that the four masters and apprentices who set off from Bodhi Cave are also in another time and space.
"Journey to the West" is such a magical film, it seems that you can have new feelings when you watch it at different stages of your life. This time, I turned to the aftertaste and realized whether the Supreme Treasure reflected Zhou Xingchi himself. It is said that the growth of Zhou Xing's fame is inversely proportional to his popularity. Some people say that he is a genius in movies and a scumbag emotionally. And so is the Supreme Treasure. Arranged by fate to be an unparalleled hero, he treats the girl with no heroic spirit, but is very promiscuous and unworthy of the stage. Seeing one loves one, doesn't know who he loves, and lies, is obviously a typical dark Cancer man. It coincides with Zhou Xingchi's own constellation - there is suspicion of chasing shadows here. And no matter how clever and speculative the suspected Cancer man is, he can't escape the reincarnation of fate. After five hundred years of wearing it, he finally met the Zixia Fairy. Just like Sun Wukong could not escape the Wuzhi Mountain of Tathagata Buddha. Fate can give him the title of an unparalleled hero, so he is not afraid of running away. I don't know if this is sad or happy. Perhaps more of a sense of helplessness.
Liu Zhenwei said that this is a tragic story interpreted in the form of comedy. No matter who the Supreme Treasure loves, it doesn't matter how Tang Seng is so wordy. This is a story in which three time and space are intertwined. Several actors play multiple roles. It is not difficult to see that the director wants to say that people who are intertwined with each other, even after the reincarnation of fate, they cannot get rid of each other. But after traveling through time and space, seeing too many supreme treasures, and finally letting go of everything in the world and focusing on being my Buddha. And those of us who think we are familiar with history only know that "Water Curtain Cave" has become "Bodhi Cave", and that Sun Wukong defeated the Bull Demon King, but we don't know that there may be hidden secrets and more events behind this. "Journey to the West" borrows such a voyeuristic perspective, stretches the time line, and shows the "story behind the truth". It really made me feel how small and ignorant I was in front of fate and power—the Jade Emperor.
