To be honest, although I have watched this movie many times because it is often shown on CCTV 6, I have never felt it was particularly good. Later, I saw a lot of Stephen Chow's works, and I got used to his narrative style, but I didn't actually feel the deep feelings, moving, and deep meaning that many people felt from them. It's just a nonsensical and funny story, deconstructing the Westward Journey and joking about the Westward Journey. So I always feel that this film is a myth, and it may also be in line with the memory of an era, and I do not belong to that era.
